Thanks for finding out and sharing with us. :hugs:i suddenly have a thought that since Art Club audition starts at 10:30am and our DD should need to put on uniform and since tomorrow has PE so i called up GSSC and they said our DD can put on PE attire for the whole day, and they will give them some snack or something to eat before they go for the audition and when they finish, they will just go back GSSC to have light lunch.

sigh..same here, i usually give her $2 and if she got back with less than $1 then i know she bought drink and never drink water, the first day in recess i've already seen her bought a pack of milo in my eyes :!: but i couldn't stop her.

acutally, my DH's colleague has already told him to be aware of the shopping habit in GIRLS coz his colleague's DD bought stationery every week, he gave her $10 out of $7 was spent on stationery in a week :shock: just that i can't believe my DD did the same so fast. :roll:cantbearit2:

haha...that's right, u saw my DD? my DD is very blur and never told me much about what's going on in school, sigh..she didn't check her water bottle in lost and found y'day and guess what? she didn't buy anything to eat in recess and bought a highlighter instead, i was so angry :x last nite, why she needs a highlighter for? yr DD is so good, even was sick and away for a week but still managed to tell you things, ya?
Lvkt, my cousin oredi warn me tat they may do \"shopping\" during recess time. Hee.... Her DD oso likes to \"shop\" during recess time instead of buyg food.

Oooo..then it must be one of those session that DD missed.
BTW, last wk, DD told me that there was a snake in the compound of GSSC. Though she did see it, but teaches asked them to go to a room. She was more excited than scared.
acbj, if your DD is going for Art trial tmr. how's her lunch arrangement?
Don't think there is enuf time to go back GSSC for lunch.. :?
As for lunch, I will give her a pack of Milo and a bun in case there isn't enough time to go back to GSSC.
But My DD might finish the work way before the time is up (depending if she is in the mood to draw).....
If she is still hungry, I think she will buy bigger portion of noodles to eat during recess. So far, she told me that she spent her recess eating noodles, sushi, fishball, fruits..... (at least 2 items) and it makes me wonder if the canteen food there is really yummy and nice..... Will make sure that she has $2 tomorrow. -

oic, so our DD should buy on her own, thanks for telling, no wonder i gave her $2 in her wallet for long and told her many times to pass it to the teacher at GSSC but that $2 was still there and now became a highlighter. :roll:WorriedParent74:
What i did was wrote a note with the $2 and ask my daughter to bring to the bookshop assistant, telling them what she needs and write dw the cost of the item and the change they return.lvkt:

Actually my gal doesn't tell me much, but I probe n squeeze info from her, till she gets v impatient with me! Ha..
Does your DD use a sling water bottle? I ask my gal to sling her water bottle during recess so she won't forget to bring back. Even her wallet, she slings it on her. So she's like a Christmas tree!
I think it's their new found freedom of being able to spend $ on their own..
