Hi funkymonkey,My gal didn't get into Art club, she said the teacher said,\"try again next year\"
She was quite positive about it!
Quite a few lost lambs...asking me to buy food for them...asking me where to go....asking me to call their mummies and grandma!!!!
Wah!!! I sure hope those kids will be alright if they have to attend CCA..it was quite a mess

You mean the teacher already confirmed the students for art club on the spot? Did she give letters out to some students? Usually, for other CCA trails/auditions, you'll receive an official letter a few days later to inform you of the outcome of the trial.
If your DD really didn't get in, don't be disheartened. There's always next year. Students who show talent in the usual art classes will be invited to join the Art Club in P2 through the annual Talent Identification Programme (TIP). So do encourage your DD not to give up on her interest in art. Alternatively, can always join art classes externally. :hugs:
Wow...lucky you were around to help the lost lambs....I'm sure the kids appreciate your presence and assitance. :salute: -

Hi jesyeo,Great that she has fun! I also hope that my DD having fun with her Dance Audtion today. Wondering if she will get to know the results straight away.
Good to hear that DD is doing fine. I was so worried. Phew!
Hope your DD had fun at the dance audition today. They won't know the results today. In a few days time, the teacher will give out letters to inform you of the outcome. Good luck to your DD. Heard from DD that about 80 plus lower pri students went for the dance audition. Pretty stiff competition huh...jesyeo:
The maths 'test' you describe is what the sch calls Mental sums. It's done twice a week and answers are written onto a small blue notebook. There are 5 questions each time and it will be marked out of 5. They are simple maths questions which the child is expected to calculate mentally. At the end of the term, the best 5 mental sums marks from that term will make up part of your DD's maths marks. Hope this helps. :lol:My DD said she had a small Maths test. The teacher will read out a few questions and she has to write down the answer on the exercise book. She very blur..she is not sure if is a Maths test. I have to ask her to quote me an example of the question, then confirm to her that is Maths. One of the question is (\"Which number is the smallest? 1, 3 or 5\"

Whr to sign? I Nv c any chop leh
oh...the teacher didn't chop....\"parent's signature\" on the book? In the future, just sign anywhere near the marks, even without chop. That way, the teacher will know it's been sighted by the parents. Aiyoo...the teacher should have a chop for P1 parents....
All English spelling and chinese spelling books must be signed and returned the next day when your DDs bring them back. This is to ensure parents are aware of the kids progress.Tinkerbelle:
AbeT, did u got back the Chinese spelling ex bk? It's juz for us to see rite? Need to bring back? I juz chuck it into her bag since today they have MT class rite?
But the English spelling was not returned to us rite? -
