oh, just now i rec'd my first call from DD, so sweet :politebleah: and was told that she only has oreo biscuit for lunch, so i called up SCCG and the lady told me to pack lunch for her next week onwards coz the cook at SCCG can't prepare lunch so early for those who are attending CCAs in the morning, is that true? 😐

Oh...this means no lunch for my DD too 😞
Luckily DH stuffed an energy bar in her bag to standby.

            [quote=\"lvkt\"]funkymonkey,

haha..i don't know why i feel like you're the one so i just came over to say hi coz i don't want to miss any chance of meeting any mommies here, hee..i hope i didn't interrrupt you as i know you were in rush to take DD to see dr, ya?
yup, it was rainning and the taxi driver didn't want to wait for me but luckily i managed to grab a cab on road side, *phew*

DD is still coughing, sigh...i will need to go her school again today. Yesterday, my DD didn't come to foyer to meet me and the office lady couldn't find her so she told me to go ahead to canteen to find her, but guess what? i was standing in the canteen and i saw 400 plus girls, they are all about the same height, same uniform running, shouting, chatting :!: all around me, i couldn't stand the noise, super duper loud, i really salute :salute: the teachers there, i walked around but still unable to find my DD and finally i gave up and walked back to the foyer and told the office lady to call her for me, what a experience! 😒

            Hi lvkt,
you are right!!!the canteen is so full of chattering, giggling girls!!!I had to get someone from office to get my gal too!
Hope we can meet up and chat for real one day!!!

                Hi everyone,

Will your DDs be attending the sch's CNY celebrations next Wednesday??

It's single session that day so the gals will have to wake up super duper early and get to sch by 7.15AM!!! Those who are driving, expect long queues and some chaos ya. :nailbite:

If you have festive clothes, do let the gals wear them....They all look absolutely gorgeous and cute. :please:
                Hi everyone,
My gal is super excited about the CNY celebrations at school.
Probably want to show off her cheongsam!!
I told her must wake up when the sky is still dark and she still wants to go!
Oh well... good experience for her then!!!Just hope we'll make it in time πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰
I overheard some parents discussing NOT to bring the kids to school on that day.... :? that's not allowed right?
                Is attendance compulsory :?

                  Hi Tinkerbelle,
Yes, my DD is also very excited about next Wed Sch's CNY celebration... πŸ˜„ I can imagine the long queues for those driving
Sch dismiss at 10am and they want parents who are driving to go after 10.30am!?!?!? I am actually thinking of asking DD how about missing school that day πŸ‘… But I don't think she will want to miss her 1st CNY celebration in new school.... anyway... will have to go before 10.30am to fetch DD as I still have my son to fetch at 10.30am πŸ˜“

I'm surprise GSSC does not provide lunch for the kids. Thought the CCA finish about 11.30...isn't that about time for lunch for those who aren't going for CCA too?? :scratchhead:

Hope your DD is feeling better today.

                      Hi funkymonkey,
Yes...I can imagine the gals's excitement for the CNY celebrations. One of the few occasions they can show off their pretty clothes..haha.

I agree, waking up at that wee hour is a killer for the lower primary gals. DD2 has problems waking up that early even though she goes to bed super early for single sessions. The only motivating factor is she can be 'vain' for the day & see her jie jie in the AM session.. πŸ˜‰

Attendance will be taken that day but I do know of some parents who will miss out on single sessions. If your DD is absent, you'll need to write a note to the FT to explain why. :cheeky:

                        Hi pepooh,
I can understand why your DD does not want to miss out on all the fun. Does she knows what she wants to wear yet? DD2 has already chosen a pink cheongsum, plus matching hairbands. DD1 is too 'embarrassed' to wear cheongsum at this age as most of her friends won't wear...keke.

Just a tip, seasoned MCS parents will go super early to wait and queue outside the sch along the main road around 9.30-9.45AM. If you are real KS and go early to join them, then you can be the first lot of cars to drive thru....Ssshhhh, don't tell the sch I told you that....haha....because the sch always tell parents not to come early.
