Tinkerbelle, wow, I am truly amazed that you can teach your dd for PSLE all by yourself! :udawoman: I hope I can be like you! Are you a teacher by any chance? For a start,I am working on brushing up my Chinese - while teaching my 2 dds at the same time. So that they can't say \"mummy doesn't know\" I'm quite a potato, but I figured that if I don't show any interest in Chinese, I cannot expect my kids to show any interest.

I think at the secondary levels, we probably have to leave them alot more on their own. I can't imagine myself dragging out my physics and chemistry textbooks to coach my dds πŸ˜†

This generation of kids are alot more fortunate. I definitely don't recall getting much of coaching from my parents for PSLE or O levels. And I didn't have any tuition till I was in Sec 3 when I was desperate enough to request for tuition for physics and chemistry.

        Hi michyms,
Thanks....actually, there are a few mummies in DD's class who are teaching their kids themselves too. No, I'm not a teacher...keke.....Just a SAMH with more time on my hands to guide DD myself. I'm sure you can too when it's your DD's turn.

I know what you mean about Chinese...I'm also not very good in Chinese. Hate to admit this, but sometimes, I need to check the dictionary (discreetly) for very 'chim' chinese words to guide DD1... The Chinese standard is also getting higher these days πŸ˜“

You 're right...kids these days are indeed fortunate to have all this support & guidance from their parents....unlike us. πŸ˜‰

                Hi michyms,
                :thankyou: We survived PSLE....hahaha :imcool:

We'll only be going for our holiday after the release of PSLE results. Furthermore, DD2 still has to prepare for her SA2 so cannot go anywhere anytime soon. πŸ˜‰
