The uniforms can get from the uniform shop (United Uniforms) at Lor 1 Toa Payoh #01 - 1034 earlier or later since got to see the size etc...books easier since they are already pre packed in a box but if you stay nearby, the book shop and uniform shop remains open on days in November and December...more importantly is to establish that chat group...hahaha
yah...typically i skip buying uniform and books during orientation. it's always very crowded.
my friend was telling me MC's parent support group is very strong.
Are we setting up 2019 chatgroup already? :imcool: -
I want to know how to join parents support an networking group too

This time for my girl, i will see how well MC manage the crowd to decide if to buy on that day or not.
Else i usually buy during dec period.
For books, we can monitor this page for 2019 P1 book list to be released.

For uniform, my friend whose girl is in P1 now, told me pinafore is only required once a week.
Rest of the days they wear PE attire to school. -
Thanks! For CCAs, are some of them available for P1?
Cos my girl has lots of energy and already telling me that she wants to start ASAP but seems like they are only for p3. Are they strict or depends on the child? Thanks :please: -

My friend says the gals do gym and dance during PE lesson. I guess this is how the teachers assess who has potential.
Those who are good, are given a invitation letter to join those CCA.
Not sure how strict they are for those without invitation letter.
My friend's gal did not sign up any CCA yet. -

When you buy the uniforms, they typically come in a pack of 3 PE uniform and shorts and 2 pinafores…as they also come with sewn name tags, you have to collect it later on. This should be sufficient as its usually 3 days of PE wear and remaining 2 wearing pinafore. You can have the option of buying the school jacket but most do and also need to buy the school socks.
As for CCA, P1 girls are given an option to participate and can select from a few eg. artistic gym, rhymic gym, drama, art…not compulsory and its once a week usually tuesday/thursday…if they show potential, they may be invited to try out for the school team
Hope this helps to clarify… -

So we placed order on orientation day then collect the uniforms with sewn name tags on a later date?
Thanks for sharing.
