Yes, the sch passed them our addresses.. Tsk tsk..

Mine quoted $185. JonC, last yr was $160 rite?? 😉
The Sch should at least 'block out' the unit number.
It is not as if we parents expect them to send DD right to the door step or pick them at our front gate.
      :!: :!:

      Hi autumn 82

      Do u stay at sembawang?
If yes, can you tell me who did u call?
I called, spoke to, SMS to him as he requested, but no news.....
      Thanks.

If the Sch doesn't want the bus vendor to be there, it would be better to give us each a form to fill out so as to facilitate bus transport arrangement.
The bus vendors can then sort it out among themselves.
Imagine parents calling 2-3 of them to find out the route and then call again to arrange pick up location. Their phone minutes quota is bound to sky rocket this month. Mayb that's why some of them not picking up.
        Wait for their Dec Quota???
        😐

          Hi LLXO4

Great! But we will be away from this weekend and back on the 2nd week of Dec. Maybe we can organise something in Mid-Dec 😉
Or you may want to go ahead and meet up with the other mothers and their girls

Hi, I am going away for 2 weeks after 18 dec. Will u be available any dates before that? If not, we can meet up on 1st day of school. I will try to arrange a date to fit everyone... The more the merrier..

          Sure! Count me in.
My DD register number is also twenty something. Her seat was near the teacher's table.

I signed my DD up for GSSC.

Will be there early on the first day of Sch.
I was told that GSSC will open the doors and gate at around 6.55 - 7am. Since we are planning to let DD take the Morning Sch bus, I was told that the bus may arrive before that timing…

Btw, the lady knew my unit number when I told her my blk. She claimed that the school admin gave them the address of all students...

The school has no authority to release such P&C info to any vendors without parent's permission! Especially since the bus vendor is not a staff of the school!

You should feedback to the school and CC a copy to MOE. This is totally unacceptable!

Actually the school management plays a huge part in this mess. They stopped the bus vendor from coming for the orientation on 20th Nov (for whatever reasons they might have) and made the parents to write down the addresses on pieces of papers instead (which might be easily misplaced etc). I saw many (in fact, ALL) parents wrote down the full addresses on the piece of paper I wrote on. Then, they passed these pieces of loose papers to the bus vendors. So, how will not the bus vendors know the unit numbers etc leh??

Is united uniforms the only place to get MCS uniforms?? My girl got size 30 becos size 28 is just nice for her so think better to get a size bigger if not by mid of the year, it might be slightly too short for her. However, the shorts and jacket is out of stock, anywhere else to get them? Actually, is it necessary to get the jacket?

Btw, can I check what do you let your girls wear underneath the uniforms?? Just panties or we should let them wear shorts?

My DD's shorts is also out of stock too. But they took down our details and told us that they will inform us when the stock arrives.

Funny that u mention, the issue of panties or shorts nv cross my mind. All along, I have been in a co-ed sch so it was shorts all the way. MCS being a girl sch, mayb panty is gd enough?

Actually this is what one of the many other stuffs that bothers me... that the girls may not be conscious about these etiquettes because they are in girls' school... I had a culture shock when I was posted to TKGS for my 1st 3 months after \"O\" levels, the girls simply changed in classrooms without closing windows and lifted up the skirts to adjust their shorts/blousesas as and when they walked along school corridors!!!

So, I am thinking whether I should cultivate this habit of wearing shorts or not...

                  My 2 cents......

Since young, I trained my DD to wear shorts beneath her dress/skirt - long or short.
If her shorts is sticking out, that means the dress/skirt is too short. She can't buy it.

I felt that the material for the Uniform is not those that will absorb easily, so we went to shop for singlet. My DD loves to play..... under that afternoon sun, I rather she has something beneath than for the uniform to cling on to her body......

Will monitor and see if its too hot or necessary for her after she starts school ......

                    Again my 2 cents......
                    😉
