ya, agree with you too… so if my child comes back with "I don’t like my English teacher" faint liao! Means English = Maths = Science Teacher.

Any parents with kids going for the Maths Olypiad class? Hope to find out when the class will be starting...
Hi Callie
I thk the Maths O programme will only start in T2... i seem to recall reading the notification just now that AS programmes for P1 & P3 only start later because the kids of these 2 levels need sometime to adjust to their schedule.[/quote]
Thanks... I read that too and will be glad if this is true because my girl really needs some time to adjust to this rountine...just after one day she is complaining that morning session is so tiring etc... :slapshead: -
Callie Tan:
My mistake...P3 science is twice a week... hehehehe
Err... not sure about 1 teacher teaching the 3 subjects thingy...but Science is only once a week, which is to my surprise...maybe it's only for P3...iLoveChubby:
Hi Mummies!...
Can I check if it is normal for a teacher to teach all 3 subjects; English, Maths and Science for the same class? I would have thought that Science will be taught by a different teacher...
And will the teachers for the P3 class be the same as in P4? (like P1/P2 hv the same teachers)
But I think it is supposed to be a different FT every year, it's just coincidental that some classes have the same FT for P1 n P2... Please correct me if I am wrong. -
Hi, I’m new here.
My daughter is in 2L and her FT and chinese teacher are different this year. I thought the P2 teachers will be the same as P1. Her FT is Mrs Lim and chinese teacher is Mrs See I think. She said both teachers super fierce.
Wanna ask school bus arrangement when the kids have CCA. We live in Punggol so if the kids stay back for CCA in P3, there won’t be school bus home after the activities? Do u know if it’s safe for a P3 girl to take train and buses, making multiple transfers to reach home? -
HI all,
DS also complained that he's Tired yesterday now that he's in the AM session... I dunno how he's going to adapt once CCA and other activities start....
Timetable ...
He has NO timetable yet!!!
Any of the P3 here also no timetable?
Other than that, no other info fm DS liao :scratchhead: -

I m not sure if Punggol area has any separate bus/van arrangements for later school timings, you may wish to check with your existing bus driver if he has any contacts.Hi, I'm new here.

Frankly I wont advise a 9 yr old girl to travel around alone... if possible, may have to fetch her on your own.
The thing is CCA may not be the only day your DD needs to stay back next year.... From the P3 schedule, at least 2 days are compulsory = CCA and Higher CL class. Other 2 days will be dependent if your DD is joining any AS / EP programmes. -
The teachers are very fierce. They want to scare the very naughty ones. Told my son to act like a zombie for a few weeks, before he starts his naughty tricks in class. Ha! Ha!
As long as they get the concepts , don’t worry too much about marks now. It’s their character and kindness that needs to be built up now, so called "substructure" of a person. Many examples of ordinary students doing very well in their O and A levels…
Happy parenting! -

What is EP programme? AS is Academic support? Oh dear, if my daughter needs to stay back late everyday from P3 onwards, we'll have to spend cab fare from tpy to punggol after school everyday. I am a full time working mother so need maid to fetch. -

Regardless of boy or girl, I feel P3 is still very young to travel alone, especially yours is quite a long journey too. I know some schools have school bus services to pick up students who are going home at a later time. We need to pay extra few dollars per trip. You may like to check with the school.Hi, I'm new here.
