Hi Mummies, can anyone englighten me on how to encourage my son to take on leadership roles? He was selected by his FT to be class monitor, but my silly boy rejected the role… Sigh!!!

Hi minmin, at this age, it appears to me that the girls are more vocal and more keen to take on leadership roles such as monitress, prefects etc as compare to boys. I believe teachers will rotate the roles so that more children will get the opportunity. At least in my DS's kindergarten, they got the chance to be team leaders and monitor / monitress, rotated every term.

My son's teacher has collected a few books but not Grammar and WordBank. Anyway, since there is EL lesson tomorrow, I will let him bring these 2 books to school.
