Hi Parents, my son just got into Pei Chun and will start P1 next year. Can anyone let me know what time is the afternoon session? I lived in Newton area, any clue if based on school bus, what would be the pick up time and when son will reach home? ( if anyone lives around the same area)... thanks

Hi chocolate 2005, The afternoon session students need to reach school hall by 12.25pm but some days if there are supplementary classes or enrichment classes, they would need to be at school early. Like for this year's P1, they have Speech & Drama (Chinese in term 2) and Speak Right (Effective Presentation Skills in Term 3), they need to be at school by 12.15pm every Monday. And school ends at 6.20pm and they are dismissed after singing the school song and national anthem.

Yes i am an old girl. anyone knows what time is afternoon session?[/quote]School starts at 12.25pm-6.25pm daily... I stay in Bishan and my girl takes the school bus at 11.35am and reaches home after school ard 7.10pm. Bus fee is $70.

Congrats and welcome! School starts 12+ pm. Cannot recall actual, coz DS takes school bus. Much general info can be found at http://www.peichunpublic.moe.edu.sg/. Do have a look if you not already done so.

How's everyone lately? My DS has been attending English creative writing class over the hols and regularly on Saturdays, the one organised by Pei Chun Alumni. My feedback is that the hols one is so so, just fill in a few lines here and there, mostly copy story off the board. Last lesson was the worst, just do Father's Day card. Lame leh... hee hee.

The Sat class, I can only give feedback on the one compo lesson so far. Better. Picture compo based on sequence of 4 pictures. Any feedback on the other ongoing Sat classes organised by sch, either at P1 or higher levels?

Oh sounds like the creative writing classes are not so happening huh? My girl attended the Maths & Science camp during the June holidays and she enjoyed herself very much.

My daughter has gotten into Pei Chun this year. She will be in the afternoon session. I’m looking for others who are also staying in Bukit Timah area to bus pool. I’ve called the bus operators but they are looking for a bigger group to start this new route. Please contact me if you are in the same situation.

Hi parents, tmr 21st july, the school celebrating racial harmony day, anybody’s kid wearing the local ethnic costumes to school ? Guess its alright if just wear normal school uniform, right?

Intended to buy something for my gal to wear tomorrow but can't find anything nice... and my gal is alright with wearing the PE attire (Has PE lessons tomorrow)....

Perhaps let them wear something the kids like instead of school uniform so that they would not feell left out in school, its Racial Harmony Day and they kids can wear any type of clothes other than school uniform and have fun. Read from the handout that there would be stalls for food and games. Wonder any parent can advise what is the price like for the games and food based on last year?
