Just to share with P1 parents, if your kids' art teacher is one Mrs Sim, pls remind your kids to be extra careful, she is very fierce, if your kids forget to bring, she will scold the kids and even ask them to leave the class..and if your kids form teacher is this one, ho sey liao... haahaa.... but do not be too worry as long as your kid behave themselves...

I remember that my gal only had 听写 2/3 weeks once. Think nt more than 15 the whole Yr.As for art, all my gal did was do drawings on a half drawing block size paper the whole year.(a bit boring she says- teacher didn't teach much)
Nv touch crayons nor posters at all.

About the same for my child at P1 last year too for art. Notice that his crayon & poster colours were the same in the book list this year after I bought them. So let my child bring the crayons bought last year to school from this year on.

For 1st art lesson, he forgot to bring back…n it’s gone now

To date also haven’t receive Chinese spelling.
Regarding the surprise test, my boi mentioned also, he said everyone got all correct except 1 maybe

Thanks for sharing the school timing…just find it a bit weird that the morning session time is shorter than that for afternoon session, considering that morning session is for upper levels…

Just to add that all P3 - P4 kids have to stay back for Higher Chinese lessons for 2 hours every week. Currently, the HCL for P3 and P4 are from 2 - 4pm every Fri. So the time for the morning session is not really shorter.

Yeah, you are right, it seems shorter for both Mon and Wed for the upper pri classes. But for P1 and P2, the lessons actually start from 1255pm. 1225 is assembly time.

Actually for lower pri, I personally prefer afternoon session as our kids can sleep late. Sleep is very important at this age. But I find the traffic after 630pm is extremely bad, and our kids have to be on the road enduring the traffic jams. Morning session would be good too since they start the day early and can have plenty of time in the next half of the day to do homework and play.

Simplemum, my kids will be entering P1 in 2014....that is if we really do shift to Balestier from our current place...

Wah, with the evening jam, wonder what time will the kids get to reach home even if the distance is not too far...and after a long day in school, how much time to spend on doing their homework...

Is your kid taking the school bus?

BTW for P1 and P2, they take 2 chinese subjects or just one??

We are staying near the school but it takes like 25 min to get home by car because of the traffic jam which otherwise the journey should only take 10 min!

The P1 pupils are taking Higher Chinese (HCL) right now, the textbook is also for Higher Chinese. There is no different classes for Chinese, only HCL lessons.

So far my gal has not brought back any homework yet. I am hoping there will be no homework for P1 but it's my wishful thinking

Hmmm... think my dotter's art teacher is Mrs Sim. But..... my dotter say the teacher is not with them while they are doing their art work. They were asked to write down bring materials on the 1st wk of skool, but did not write down wat materials to bring.

After checking with my dotter, they are suppose to do CNY greeting cards, then i try to gather some angbaos, red papers, scissors, glue & newspaper(she commented that it was meant to ensure they will not dirty the table) for her to bring to skool.

Hi, I need to check with my son tomorrow the name of his art teacher. Checked his timetable and it was indicated as SinBC for art. Not sure if is the same art tchr we are referring to. My son also did a CNY greeting card during art today. Hoping the art lessons are not too bored as he loves art…don’t want tp kill his interest in that area.
