Any comments on Pandan Valley & Jubilee branch? Understand that only PV provides kindergarden service whereas Jubilee is 1/2 or full day childcare. Anyone can share if there is any diff in what is been taught or covered btw 3hrs kindergarden n 1/2 day cc?

Hi, can I check is your dd2 in kinderland PV kindergarden or childcare? hows the teacher turn over and hygenie in sch?Altho I have unsure which MMI you are refering too. My dd1 was graduated from MMI phoenix walk. She started with them at K1 (sept) as we were overseas before then. At that time, her academic standard were a big gap from those from that school (SGP std) and their teachers were patient. They really took time with her to help her catch up with her peers and integrated her well into the Singapore practises (more routine and discipline). She made it great to her K2 and even P1. The cirriculum was pretty enriching, building great phonic foundation and mathematics concepts for her. Abit too advance was my concern. But, dd1 made it great in her P1 with full marks scored for both her English and Mathematics. Her mandarin was very poor (not even N1 level) when she started with them. At P1, with help from another pte tutor, she made it to great scores too.
Overall, I find the centre has large space with pte garden and play area. Teachers were very communicative and helpful. The only complain was the mosquitoe bites that dd1 always bring back every now and then.
To be fair, I also came across her her ex-classmates from the same MMI whose parents thot MMI did not work well for their kids.
I also visited other MMI centres for my dd2 about a year ago. I cannot say the same for many (esp those void deck) branches that they have the same satisfying std I had for the Pheonix Walk branch. Well, that just my experience.
I placed my dd2 with Kinderland PV. She also benefited alot from there. The teacher-kids ratio looked better than with MMI. The PV centre has even larger garden and playground. Of course, that comes with a larger price tag. The reason I did not place dd2 with her sister's ex cc was because MMI did not have a space for her then (6 mth after dd1 left) and she did not seem to have much 'chemistry' with that centre during our first visit. She loved her teachers and acquired so much skills and knowledges there.
IMO, the baseline is to find a centre suited to your child. The enviroment, the teachers and cirriculum play a part each. Someone who benefits alot from one does not actually mean that your child will too. -

Hi, anyone has experience with the Kinderland at Siglap?
Hi MMM, can I check if the teachers at Kinderland MP are caring? Have you seen instances of how they try to settle those crying kids in the morning when the parents drop off their kids? -
For most of the kinderland MP teachers, they have been around for years. So far I feel that they are experienced in handling the kids. Eg. when my no. 3 cried for the 1st week, the teachers reassured us that they will handle that. Some assistant teachers even "carried" the kids around or bring them around for a walk round the school to calm them, etc…
Kids usually cry only in the initial period. They usually "outgrow" that subsequently. -

Anyone have any feedback on Kinderland Tampines Safra? Am thinking of sending my kid there.
I sent my dd there when we shifted over to pasir ris. Teachers are nice and caring, Mrs Noor the principal is also very nice. A pity I need to withdraw her cos of the travelling. She needs to wake up early for school bus and reaches home almost an hour later.
Go down and have a feel of the school. -
Was hoping to find some feedback on Kinderland at Upper Serangoon.
We viewed the place recently. The principal sounds good. We've no issue with the environment as well as cirriculm. BUT something caught my attention when I was there. It was the way one of the K1 teachers spoke (level of spoken english) and the way she handles the kids. I cannot imagine leaving my child in her care.
The principal suggested that I sit in for the other teacher. I've not hear her speak so I can't tell at this point. Was hoping that any parents who send their kids to Upper Serangoon Kinderland K1 program to feedback on the teaching staff. Particularly K1 teachers.
