ChiefKiasu:
If the replies i received from the school last year still stands, PEPS does not accept PV; hence their low Phase 2B TUR.So now that the \"guaranteed\" Phases 1 and 2A are over, let's have a quick look at the highlights.
Keming
- Keming's Phase 2A cummulative TUR is 55%, which is higher than the 50% in 2008 and 51% in 2006 where there was balloting under 1km in Phase 2C. We can pretty much expect the same to happen this year.
Princess Elizabeth
- The main story here is PEPS, with its 2nd highest Phase 2A cummulative TUR in Singapore. I suppose the key reason is due to the loss of 30 vacancies, but whatever it is, it doesn't bode well for those going for PEPS in Phase 2C. Oh, the less than 1km balloting is to be expected, but the ratio of the number of applicants to the remaining 18% of the places will be much higher. PEPS has always kept their PV low, so balloting is not expected for Phase 2B.
St Anthony's
- SAPS continues its downward trend in Phase 2A cumulative TUR. Its TUR of 43% is its lowest in the last 5 year. This is good news for those trying for Phase 2B and Phase 2C this year, but does this mean the school is losing its popularity with parents?
Bulk of SAPS' applicants usually comes in during Phase 2B under church affiliations. -

Just went to register DS at Keming and was told that I’m the 80th applicant within 1km (for 78 vacancies). But the nice lady mentioned that there may be withdrawals, so hopefully, there’s no need to ballot.
Really surprised at the overwhelming response this year at many schools! -

ya, birth rate is one of the lowest in 2004, but also mainly due to school cutting down class size in order to go single session?Just went to register DS at Keming and was told that I'm the 80th applicant within 1km (for 78 vacancies).
