Oh, ehh how come I have not seen it..next time I go there I am going to check

Jtoh, Yes, I went on Wed to get cupcakes for my DH's birthday.
The black forest is great! My DS loves it, commented that the taste is very rich.
We couldn't consume all the cupcakes on Wed so put them in the fridge. They still taste great even after we left them in fridge for a day! according to instruction, if kept in fridge need to microwave before eating but we too lazy. So we juz took them out & leave them in Room temp for a few mins and they still taste good if not better!
So did you get the cookies & cream? Good?jtoh:
You went yesterday, Flowermonaster? Their special today is cookies and cream.
Flowermonaster:
My DH loves the PB too as he is a PB lover! He don't like sweet stuff but he likes the cupcakes from 12 cupcakes. He also tried the special cupcake, banana choco, but commented quite good but a bit sweet compared to PB.
I also bought black forest but have not taste it yet.
I tried the cupcakes from 12 cupcakes. The cupcakes are dense and not too sweet, which is good. The cream frosting was alright. Not fantastic. But I did like that overall the cupcakes weren't too sweet. I liked the peanut butter one over the red velvet. -
Hi Flowermonaster,
Happy belated birthday to your dh.
Yes, we got the cookies and cream. My dd said it was good.
We kept ours overnight in the fridge and I'm having one for breakfast now.
It's still good.
Is the blackforest a regular or a special?Flowermonaster:

Black forest is special. Will try the cookies cream next time I am there, hopefully they have it. Wonder if they have fixed schedule for baking special, like Wed black forest & something, Thur another type?

Happy Mama:
Most likely they increased on Wed....and the pricelist was hand-written in.
Oh they just increased today?ksi:
I managed to catch the black forest special but missed the bailey's mocha and rum and raisin ones.
The black forest one is good. Now special one has increased to $3.50 instead of $3 per piece. -

They have some specials daily. The day I was there it was black forest and rum and raisins. Tried the peanut butter still think black forest is the best I have tasted so far other than choc choc. The peanut butter is just on top of the standard choc base.
My analysis:
Basically the cupcake base is similar in that they are either chocolate or vanilla.
However for choc choc....there is choc inside the base which makes it taste good, like eating lana choc and for blackforest, there is a berry inside the base as well. And the red velvet has a different base.
So far all other flavours, the base is standard choc or vanilla and the variation is in the creamy top.
Correct me if I am wrong in my tastebuds or memory....

Okie... finally tried the 12 cupcakes. Today has 2 specials: Blueberry Cream; and Mint Chocolate and Cookies Cream.
Tried the baileys but can't taste the baileys. Kids love the strawberry chocolate and the blueberry cream. Taste wise, not too bad lah. But find it pricey at $3 a piece ($3.50 for specials).
Ehmmm..... the el cheapo me  will get my cupcake fix from Chin Mee Chin at East Coast. Their cupcakes only cost 90cents.

That's my impression too. The base is either vanilla, choc or coffee and the creamy top differentiates
