well, i just called the school and admin said about 80 registered. asked for breakdown into distance and she said cannot reveal. i mean, what's the big deal about revealing the numbers??!! *sigh*

Oh, last yr the sch only accept registration within 1km for 2B. This year never mention? Then it's more relax le.

Dun think so. Last yr under 2B, 79 registered for 75 places. If all within 1km, then there'll be balloting even for 1km but it's not so as my friend's kid went in without balloting as she's within 1km.

Any parents register for NCPS??? I'm freaking out, Day 1 and the applicants is already more than the vacancies?? Shld i withdraw and apply someone else??? I'm within 1km though, from past stats, i know i have a high chance of getting a place, but this is a wierd year that defies all balloting history.

i’m within 1km to nan chiau and north vista. really stretching my head which sch to enrol my child in. understand nan chiau focus alot on academics where north vista is more on play and learn type? pls correct me if not correct.

any advices pls.

I went last Fri 23 Jul to register for my son under 2B, the staff never ask, just submit doc/fill form and told to wait for outcome on Tue 27 Jul. Separately, can I ask if anyone knows if school (or principal) can choose to give places to certain people at their own will? Meaning, someone accorded more privileges than others. Tks.

Sort of. I woud say different ways of learning, but end point is the same. I play safe since the end point still PSLE....so I go for NCPS. I'm in Phase 2B within 1km, hope my son can get in. Yours next yr? You're already stress out now? For NVPS, we can only tell when their 1st batch sits for PSLE in few yrs time.

Not likely. P1 registration is supposed to be transparent, or there will be chaos. Principals will have the discretion only when it comes to choosing PVs or deciding on the priority criteria for those who put their children in the waitlist after they fail in the balloting.

Called NCPS after lunch, I was told there is no balloting for <1KM applicants.

*Sigh* So hard for my children to get into Nan Chiau Pri even though my place is within 1km and my mum's place (where my children goes after school) is just across a service road from NCPS. Applied for PV but got rejected
