      insider:
      ksi:

Bully is usually defined as follows:

      1. Abusive language is used to harm and hurt a child's esteem or mental health to show power over the child

      2. Physical violence is used to show power over a person

      3. Mentally torment someone with mean remarks to exert power over the person.

FYI, teachers can also be bullies knowingly or unknowingly and they often commit the mistake in (3) above and sometimes (1) for severe cases. Albeit teachers are given the authority to scold and discipline children under their charge, they can do it based on facts and not degrade to (1) and (3).

Trying to digest the 1 to 3 above and sort of 'concluded' that many parents have been 'bullying' their kids though with good intention under (1) and (3)...

Many parents are also doing (2) to their kids, all in the name of love.

Wonder what's kids doing in school nowadays?

P3 \"jio\" to fight in school.
          Jus a 20 minutes break......
Recently my son came back telling me that,
A big bully went fighting and pin down some of his classmates in school.
Some were being kicked on tummy some being pin down on floor to kick and punch.
Poor smaller build size kids went home telling .......
          Mummy it hurt here!
          What will u do? :stompfeet:
Ya . Go to school to confront.
          BUT

          Conclusion....... From the school.......
:imsorry: I will seriously look into that matter......
          Dayssssssss after.........
I had already counsel the kid, and the parents were being informed.

My point is, the BIG BULLY, after bullied the poor helpless kids, was being counsel and NO MORE!!!
Is that the way how the school discipline the kids nowadays?
Does that means that kids have to fight back otherwise they sure lose out?
          Oh ........ :slapshead:

What will you do if your child being beaten up?

Hi Shn, it’s normal as a parent to feel angry & hurt when your child got bullied. How is your DS now? If my DS got beaten up by bullies in school, I will be more worried about the psychological aspect of him being bullied than how the bullies are being punished. The bullies are kids after all and normally they will not bother your DS anymore after they got warning by the teacher. Do continue to monitor the situation & if there is no improvement talk to the teacher again.

Since young I have told my boy how to handle bully and why there are bullies around even before he goes to primary school. my DS is very small build and when he was in P1/P2, whenever he knew that someone wanted to bully him during recess, he will purposely avoid his usual hangout. If he can’t avoid the bullies, he will use his wit to find ways to escape them.

My P3 son attacked(when he was in P2) by two times. He is from P5 or P6.My son even doesn’t know him.We don’t have any idea. The everyday I prayed for him.

The school can’t do anything and can’t change the kids.
I think, the parents of each child take responsiblity and conciderate about our community. The parents nurture (what is right or wrong) the child cannot beat anybody.I told to my son at very young age like 2 yrs old.If u do something wrong police will catch u.So this is in his conscious mind always.
My son’s class has two naughty kids.I understood from them. They didn’t get attention from parents.I heard that If the parents very strict then they do mischief at the school.
One day I was in the playground.A group of friends playing. They just playing wrestling. Then one boy kicked other boy’s tummy many times until he cried. After I saw that I accompany with my son.If let him also I told him come back after half an hour.

I know what you mean. My DH always say I'm very impulsive. I act without thinking & some times the outcome is not desirable. But if I used my brain to think and then walk away, I will always feel guilty for not doing something. Either way, I will feel angry with myself! :slapshead:
