Secondary Schools - East

halomummy:
Hi, my gal got 227 for her PSLE, pls advise what schools can I choose in the East? If I put Temasek as her 1st choice, am I taking a BIG risk as Temasek's cut off pt is 232.
If you are risk-averse, can consider Pasir Ris Crest and Hai Sing in Pasir Ris.
if you are attempting Temasek, can also consider Ngee Ann, Dunman Sec and Pasir Ris Sec in Tampines. -
called Dunman and was told 7 pts is q.far and risky to apply. I was considering Temasek as it is 5 pts off. I’ve heard abt Haising but not abt Pasir Ris Crest. Is it worth considering? Thanks for yr advice

My child scored 210 for psle this year. i was hoping that one of you could tell me which school he should apply for in tampines. he is from st hildas pri and besides st hildas sec which school should he go.
thank you -
I think St Hilda’s is still the best choice, my nephew was in Springfield Sec and his parent had regretted choosing that school.

my child only score 210 so i am thinking if i should chose pasir ris sec or st hildas? also if i place st hildas as my third option would i stand a lesser chance of getting into st hildas? thanks for your reply.

Try the Journey Planner in Transit Link eGuide. Easier to type in postal code of your address and the school's.I am not familiar with the public transport system  as I have been driving in the past. Could anyone help to advise what is the easiest/fastest way to get from Pasir Ris or Tampines MRT to
1) Cedar Girls
2) TKGS
3) Anglican High
Many thanks in advance! -

To TKGS, mrt to Kembangan station, cross 2 main roads, get to bus-stop at changi road. Bus no. 33 will get you right to the doorstep of TKSS which is beside TKGS. There may be another way to get from Eunos. Not sure. coz we stay nearby. no need train/bus.I am not familiar with the public transport system  as I have been driving in the past. Now going home, it's a breeze. Cross the overhead bridge to get to the opp bus stop, take 33 again and it stops right at Kembangan stn. No need cross 2 main roads liao. -

I believe your son lose the chance if he put st hilda's as his third choice. As mentioned in http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/secondary-one-posting/option-exercise/
\"that he/she must indicate that secondary school as his first choice of school in order to enjoy the priority admission to that affiliated school..\".
Well, I have the same problem as you. My son scored 219, we intend to put in this order..
1st st hildas (nearest to home)
2nd st gabriel (boy sch)
3rd st patrick (boy sch)
4th compassalve sec
5th & 6th ?
So... have you conclude ....?
Btw, anyone has any views about these school? -

Manjusri is notorious. Bedok South is good but heard also dropping.Hi
My kid got 210 for PSLE. Am thinking of either Manjusri or Bedok South Secondary school as 1st choice.
Does anyone have any feedback about these 2 schools?
Would appreciate any inputs. Thanks very much
