For a start they will bec not all SBC girls want to go the IP route.
I was at the MGS tea reception for DSA recently and learnt that there will be 2 classes for IP (IBDP) and 3 classes for SBC. COP for SBC expected to be in the region of +/- 250 (based on previous years).Nebbermind:
Just read that MGS's intake is ONLY 60...gonna be quite a fight!
60 places
IP intake leading to IB.
hmm...will they maintain the SBC leading to O level? -
Hi All,
Can anyone tell me whether if my dd wants to get into SBC class, does she needs to take a written test? Her score is 254.
Thanks! -

Hi!!
Can someone tell me more about MEP in MGS?? MY girl is admitted to MGS for IP program 2013. need to submit by today if we want to join -
G Tan:
Hi G Tan, I wonder if you found out anything different but I had understood the MEP to be catered for the 4 year O Level track. My daughter is starting IP in 2013 too. If it is possible to combine IP and MEP (need to confirm with school) the student should have a very strong interest in music as they expect MEP students to commit to a music CCA, unless the student is in a school sports team. I decided to let my daughter pursue her music outside school.Hi!!

We submitted the Mep form already...how...
My understanding from another school offering MEP is that MEP is more for O Level track (as a 9th subject :scratchhead: ) meaning by taking the subject, it doesn't help much in moving on to year 5 since the child is kind of like \"auto\" move on to year 5 without needing the o-level results. The MEP exam is divided into a few exams in Sec-4 O-level. If I remember correctly, it starts in March for the 1st component and follow by a few more. My opinion is that the child would still need tuition coz there is a performance component which the school may not enough time to coach much. School time focus more on theory.
Best is to check with the school's MEP teacher. -
My DD has appealed to MGS with just two points difference. What is her chance of being successful? Anybody in the same situation as of me. Any appeal interview in previous years? Pl provide some info
Thanks in advance -
Anyone has received results from the appeal? I am only told that appeal will be announced from 26 Dec.
