So it wasn't as nice as it looked? http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php
Same here.... Delifrance does it best when comes to baked potato.TheAnswer:
I tried the baked potato with cheese and broccoli at Wendy's tonight.
Verdict: failed. I prefer deli potato in delifrance. Piping hot potato served with chicken and tuna mayo. Yummy!
I had the one with just sour cream and chives. Because it was like how we do when we have bbq, it was normal.. or just the usual kind of baked potato for me. I suppose i wanted to try their safest before i tried something else. :xedfingers:
:imsorry: it was awful for you with their broccoli and cheese.
Deli potato i oni tried the ones with croutons on top, no chicken or tuna mayo. The croutons (on top of the deli potato) that i initially thought were somewhat an acquired taste eventually went down ok after a couple of times. -

On the website, the picture looked alright. When I saw the baked potato in Wendy's, it was a different story. The potato was in a mess. Mushy mushy topped with cheese and broccoli. It was too buttery for my liking. I wanted to try it for a long time so it wasn't your fault. I prefer to stick to my good old spicy chicken and nuggets on my regular visits to Wendy's. They never go wrong. Sometimes during dinner, DH and I had to wait for 20mins for them to fry the chicken. Hot and spicy.
As for the potato last night, I had a few mouthfuls and just left the half eaten potato there. Couldn't bear to look at it.
I will be making a trip to delifrance soon. I miss their baked potato so much.
I'm a simple woman. Just one baked potato with my favourite tuna mayo or chicken mayo topping will make my day :rahrah: -

Wow..u are such a good cook! Looks healthy and wholesome

Not at all a good cook - just can cook for my children. Hubby says he likes his mother's cooking more. -

Same as my dh, he likes his mom's cooking more than mine. So I refuse to cook the same dishes as his mom. I always whip out different style and different taste of the same food. My kids like mine better. -

I cant reproduce MIL's dishes - too time consuming.Jennifer:

I was trained by my nyonya mom so luckily DH likes my cooking (or rather my mom’s cooking style) more than his mom’s. But his mom does have her Hokkien specialities like Hae Chor which I am too tired to reproduce. DH did say my steamboat, popiah, chicken curry, braised belly pork and vinegar trotters were nicer than his mom’s.
The typical Chinese recipes are usually quite flat as compared to the same dishes done the Nyonya style. But I still lose to my mom lah… so I only cook Western / Jap / Korean or Shanghainese dishes when my mom is eating with us. Don’t want her to compare…
Dinner tonight was Korean glass noodles fried with Korean BBQ sauce, sliced chicken, bok choy, carrot and egg. Soup was the Liuwei herbal soup. -
As long as I serve fried food and potatoes. DH will love my cooking more.

Why do men like potatoes so much? DH also wallops all the potatoes in my curry. His other fave dish is fried potatoes with baked beans / tomato sauce which his mom makes. I don’t dare to eat potatoes coz they go straight to your thighs…

my dh also loves potato…ds fav dish is mashed potato
