      Hi,

Any comments on CH @ Mountbatten?
Does CH in general offer "extra" classes like Speech & Drama, Zoophonics or Gymplay?

      Thanks.

Seems like most of the comments on CH is negative. I used to think that CH is a premium chain of CC, like kinderland. But with franchising, standards drop.

My boy is also in CH K2, quite disappointed with the quality of teaching. The teacher didn’t even bother to arrange for Parent Teacher Conference. Sometimes spelling lists are given late, sometimes teacher forgot to give spelling !

        Faint!

u think other K******** does not have this meh problem meh? i closed not one but two eye already. Since k2, i bo chap....

Let me share with you my experience, my boy k2 class, 1 yr change 4-6 teachers till i cannot remember, the current teacher is filippino. Got parent teacher conference? i would say that session is complain or quarrel session.

This current filippino teacher best, tell you about human rights. You complain about her, she tell you not happy then withdrawn. No face. Can shout (or should i say raise her voice) at you some more.

You want cheap? dun complain.... not happy? get lost!

That is the attitude of the foreign teacher now. And worst, since no singarporean want to be school teacher, we can only see more n more foreigner taking over with this attitude.

to happydaddy: so jialat ah? Which branch is this? Should feedback. That teacher ought to be sacked, IMHO. Haiz…i am quite surprised to see so many negative comments about CH. I thought its quite established and there should be a certain standard even if they are franchises.

i can only say, u pay peanut, you get peanut.

u pay $500 n expect fantastic teacher, dream on.
u pay $1000 n get fantastic teacher, hard to absorb.
u pay $500, n they give you fantastic teacher, share with us, i bet, within a yr, the fee will increase 30%.

Cheap fee. Parents pressure them to get good teacher, once they get it, the CC increase fee to keep them, but as parents, we complain no $$. End up, transfer the kid to another centre cheaper, and complain. Children move out, end up CC closed down due to high cost. It a cycle.

                  Who is at fault?

So, should we complain or keep quiet?

I guess it depends on the branch and how well it is managed.
My boy's CH centre practises PTC twice a year and e teachers have been pretty stable. The teachers may not be the \"wow\" types with degree and perfect british english etc. Every 2 weeks, the child will bring back the stuff that they do in school.

The fee is indeed expensive and service wise depends on centre management. Every centre service is different, management and staff attitudes show all. Franchaise wise, Carpe Diem is better. 😉

I were wondering does this apply to year end concert as well?

                        Hi keenDaddy

Most importantly, the teachers must be caring.
Otherwise, that defeats the purpose of being a teacher.
