Hi mysweetlittlethings, indeed that particular LTA traffic warden is very nice. He kept assuring parents/guardians that he's not there to summon but to dirrect the traffic.


However, i heard from my dad (who picks my boy up) that there were some changes made to the pick-up system by the school. He mentioned that the side gate was only opened at 135pm yesterday and then there was also a barricade preventing the parents/guardians from getting close to the parade square to get the kids.

Can anyone tell me of their experience from yesterday?

Anyone picking your child via gate 2 after school?
Traffic is pretty bad + LTA guy is always there.

Great news for parents picking up their children via Gate 2.
Parents may park their car along Prince Philip Road leading to Gate 2 during the pick-up. If you are there prior the dismissal, do wait in your car or near your car.
The LTA Traffic Warden who was there today will try to be there from Mon to Fri to guide the traffic. Should there be other wardens who want to summon any parents, do notify them that we are just waiting for the child. Should they insist, it might be good to take down their names & appeal to LTA.

As traffic should ease by 15 mins after dismissal, he will only issue summon to parked vehicle without drivers after 2pm.

Most primary schools do not allow parents/guardians to enter the school premises to pick the children. We have to wait at the school gate for the children to come out. However, I believe as the children are still in P1, the school is still concerned about their safety especially when there are moving vehicles at Gate 2.

Gate 2 (pedestrian access) was locked till 1:35pm. There was a barricade near the security guard house. Parents are not allowed to go beyond that barricade. The teachers will bring those children with pick-up point at Gate 2 to the sheltered car porch with a big class signage. The teachers will only release the children when the parents are there. (You will have to wave to your child to catch his/her attention).

I think it is a pleasant & smooth pick-up yesterday. Not too sure about pick-up at Gate 3 though.

I know what happen - why from yesterday nobody allow into the parade square.

heard from my helper that one silly parent went up to their classroom the day before. so VP and P say it really very dangerous as they are accountable for any kid lost. I understand their concerns and support it.

The school has already instructed the security guards to stop parents from going into the school, but I think the security guards did not stop parents. The VP was very shocked to see parents at parade square on tues. That could explain why there is parents at level 2.

Yes. Today gate 2 was open @135. And parents r not allow to go into sch to pick the children. Yes, I heard abt the parents went up the classroom to fetch the child from the P. That’s y they parents r not allow to enter sch from all the gates. I think this is to ensure the safety of the children. Btw in any case that we need to buy stuff from the bookshop, how do we access?
