I doubt so the MOE will do anything about it..

As far as I can remember..when my mum registered me for P1, its was almost a similar process..
I remembered we were not successful lol..
The school was right in front of my block of flats and yet we got rejected and I had to go to a school which is like 6 bus stops away lol..
But hopefully something will be done..doubt so there will be anymore new schools in the near future in bukit panjang-_-

Sorry….I was trying to imagine what balloting situation is like. Errr...heard from my relative that at principal designate school this morning, it was very tense as there were about 18 parents competing for just 1 vacancy
Seems since this principal took over, YZPS had to go thru this kind of balloting.

Now, I’m really very worried when my turn comes to put my boy in three years’ time at West Spring. Can’t imagine what situation will be with West Spring then?
So envious to those parents who have secured a place already. I called West Spring and it said new school no parent volunteer phase 2B for next yr reg. exercise.

Sigh! Now I hope MOE will really do something about P1 registration to take stress away.

Wow West Spring got the most children register from phase 2C to 2C supplement in Bukit Panjang. Left only 38 vacancies out of 210. Really looking forward to the new school term for my daughter.

Hi LFC4ever, me 2 one of cck parents! Was balloted out fr SV. A no. of us balloted out fr SV tt day had discussion & one parent told us abt new sch west spring. We went to website & liked what this sch is doing.So here we are at west spring finally! i emaild sch to find out more and even called sch b4 make final decision. Very nice staff I spoke to. I find it as blessing to be balloted out so to be able to go west spring. Very excited about being pioneer gp of parents at west spring with all our kids!

Hi AntzDZ,so I get it right there are quite some CCK family registering their child in West Spring. I think is a blessing in disguise that you all never get into SV. I have been following West Spring very closely since MOE announce the launching of 3 news school and one of them is in Bukit Panjang. I have also been looking into the principle current school,it is a popular school among the parents in Serangoon area even the VP school in Jurong West is a popular choice. We have attend the informal chat with West Spring and from what we see the principle has a certain degree of expectation from her staff. We like what we hear when she say relief teacher is not only to sit inside the class and let the student do their work but to continue what the actual teacher has hand over. I think some schools don’t practice this. In times to come I believe West Spring will be a popular choice in this area. Welcome all the pioneer parents to West Spring.Once again I believe is a great choice,work hand in hand with the school and it can be a popular choice as well.
