Dear Parents / Guardians,


We’re pleased to share with you of the following school events:

PARENTS’ WORKSHOPS

There will be workshops arranged for interested parents to attend pertaining to pupils’ learning on 14 March from 2.00 pm to 5.15 pm.

Interested parents are encouraged to make time for the parents’ workshops. More details will be given at a later date.

MEET-THE-PARENTS SESSION

The school will be having a Meet-The-Parents session on 30 May 2014. Parents will be able to meet up with the teachers to review their child’s progress on that day. It will also be a Home-based Learning Day for the pupils where they need not report to school. Pupils will be assigned online lessons and activities for that day. More details will be given at a later date.

WEST SPRING PRIMARY SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE

There will be an open house for parents who are interested in West Spring Primary School. More details will be given later.

Regarding the on-going school enhancement, is there a target date for the completion of the library? My boy really like to read books

I think a functional library is really important in a school to inculcate good reading habit among the pupils. Hope it will be prioritized.

I am really glad to enroll my daughter in this school. I think it is a good choice so far the school has really engage the parents just recently we have been invited to attend the CNY celebration concert. I think not a lot of school actually do this. Friends around me are envious bcos their child school don't invite them for the celebration. Great job West Spring Primary School. :thankyou:

Like you, we’ve also received many encouraging feedback from our other parents and we’ll persevere to provide your child / children with a holistic education through Play @ West Spring Primary. :rahrah:

Do try make time to join us at the next event we’ve specially organized for our parents / guardians as shown on our school web-site (look under ‘Events’). These workshops are meant to enlighten parents / guardians on the curriculum as well as equip parents / guardians with some basic skills to guide their child / children in his / her / their learning @ home with you. :grphug:

Research has shown time & again that when parents / guardians play an active role in their child / children’s education, children tend to succeed in life. More details will be given out in our next

thank you very much for continuing updating us regarding school appearance.

at here, I would like to request to you that could we have price list for canteen food vs volume?
I happened to get gossip from my girl, she told me she is very like the Malay food offered in canteen, but she spent 50cents to buy a quite small piece of samosa. and one piece is not enough for her to fill up her stomach ( I don't think her is a big eater), then she always has to buy 4pieces.
then roughly per day cost her $2 for recess.
as same, one piece chicken nugget also sell @ 50cents.

I am not a stinginess , but my personal feeling is the food sold in school should be cheaper than outsider, but looks like nowadays is getting same? :roll:

Dear pixelbee,

The library books are currently being processed in the school library by our librarian and will be ready for West Springers to loan from next month. Pupils will only get to occupy the library when the enhancement works are completed. This will take a few months to complete.

Great! Pardon me but what is the arrangement for the pupils to start loaning the books while the library is only ready to be occupied in a few more month?
