maybe you should also be looking at the school as a whole package as well. like the values of the school, the school culture, cca, envirnoment, distance from home etc... you need to like the school also, else also got no mood to go school to learn right?

maisy,in the system of posting,schools take an amount of students from each choice,even from 3rd choice they take some

students.Anyway i kept nan hua in 2nd choice as i have the strongest chance to get thereif i put 2nd choice,even with a score of 245,i can get there,i have done this wisely,maisy,so i know what i am doing

Yes and No. The schools only take some from 2nd choice when after taking in all the 1st choice (agg must meet COP), they still have vacancies left. And if after taking in all the 2nd choice candidates (again agg must meet cut off), they still have vacancies left, then yes they take in 3rd choice.... if after taking in 1st choice candidates, they are full...then sorry GAME OVER for u.

And if you really know what you are doing (like you blatantly said), you won't be here asking \"i m wondering if i can make it to Nan Hua...\" why should you even wonder since you have all the information w you ??? Cool down & don't be jumpy.... think carefully... and if you think you have been very wise, then good for you. And sorry to have poke my nose into your business. Cheers :celebrate:

1st)river valley high school
2nd)nan hua high school
3rd)bukit panjang gov. high school
4th)commonwealth sec school
5th)swiss cottage sec school
6th)fuhua sec school

my family and i today went through a lot of work for hours,deciding this should be the one,any suggestions on this?

........oh yes i almost forgot here are my grades for psle

english= A

maths= A*

science= A

mother tounge= A

can try chong boon sec,by the way the right way to select is how i am doing,learn from the net only then u will know. people around your dd's score are doing the same thing as me.

arijit, do you take chinese? else y you considering nan hua/rv? don't waste time travelling elsewhere for yr 2nd lang lessons. rv cop is too high, you're just going to waste yr 1st choice. if i were you, i would put bpghs, since that's the closest cop to yours. Then nan hua (if you do chinese), followed by commonwealth then swiss cottage. Though cop of both commonw n swiss c are the same at 238, commonw is a band1 school while swiss cott is band3. you know what that means right? check out annex a1 if you're not sure. now, arijit, I've given you my advice. don't be rude to me or I'm not gonna respond to you.
