I am more academic incline,
They also have DSA for CCATwaTau:
According to DHS website , http://www.dhs.sg/list-of-dsa-domain-criteria.html
For DSA (General) and the criteria is as follows:
Students who attained 85% or higher score (or 75% or higher score for Gifted Education Programme students) for average of P5 Overall and P6 Mid-Year Examination or its equivalent.
They have a separate domain call DSA (Academic) and the criteria is as follows:
80% or higher score (or 70% or higher score for Gifted Education Programme students) for average of P5 Overall and P6 Mid-Year Examination or its equivalent and Special achievements in academic areas such as Mathematics, Science, Bicultural (BiCEP), Languages and Music Elective Programme (MEP).
Here is my take: the DSA (Academic) is for students not doing too well in exams but have outstanding specific talents. The General domain is outright good academic results.
DHS CCA domain includes the Performing Arts, Uniformed Groups and Sports -

Did you mean that then, or mean DSA(CCA) instead? How else does the \"specific talent\" come into play in DSA(Academic)? -

We all putting RI out of our mind for the moment, concentrating on the selection test for NUSH this Sat.
Haven't submitted the DSA application for NJC yet. Really taking out time since closing is on 27/6/11. -

See the DHS website for details. For DSA (academic) they will take into consideration of Special achievements in academic areas such as Mathematics, Science, Bicultural (BiCEP), Languages and Music Elective Programme (MEP). I am comparing it with the DSA(General).

TwaTau:
The difference in their expectations not that great though. 80% vs 85%

Just called GAT in the morning. They claimed that they will send out the GAT test schedule by Wed this week. Most likely, we will receive it latst by 28 Jun. GAT tes at DHS has several time slot and they will schedule it respectively.
Wah, you really call, har? Thank you. ;D
We'd booked it and paid online and had the confirmation and all, so I guess the confirmation of details for the test time will also be by email?
