Yes, there was this room so call the waiting room, next to the first interview room where the P was in. When I was there yesterday, the aircon was not turn on.
The classroom/interview rooms are air-conditioned. I happened to stand for an hour in the buiding before realizing there was an aircon room that was open to parents to sit in. By then, DS already finished his interview!jtoh:
Bear in mind that this is the school your son will be studying in for 6 years, so greenhouse or not he'll have to get used to the environment.
Are the classrooms and halls in RI air-conditioned?
It really depend on your luck. The interviewer and the sitting arrangment are pre-allocated. So who is going to interview you and where you sit, either left, right or center all are pre-arranged. So no need to rush.
I heard some boys are asked to play some games instead of interview in the room? Wow, first time heard that.
I also heard from my DS and his friends, that some groups would have a group discussion to provide answers to the interviewers.
E.g.One
The interviewer asked \"Can you tell me what you know about Leadership?\". Then no one know how to answer, waiting for someone to answer first. Then one boy, pro-actively said, \"This is a difficult question, can we have a discussion and provide you the answer?\" Then they went on to have a group discussion....
E.g. Two (another group)
The interviewer asked \"Can you tell me what you know about Leadership\"
Then no one know how to answer. The interview said, why don't you have a short discussion and tell me the answer...
Really interesting.....But not sure true or not. -

Thanks. Good luck to your DS for tommorrow as well[/quote]Thanks. For NUSHS selection camp, we are only required to drop the kid off, not allow to hang around and for that I thank NUSHS for the consideration. :imcool:
It is the only room that has an open door, at one corner of the courtyard! Enjoy the aircon for me.TwaTau:

Please please tell me where is the room so that I can sit in aircon comfort while waiting for DS next week.
And good luck to your DS! -

This is taken from the information on 2011 DSA exercise : \" If you have been given a \"Confirmed Offer\" and/or placed on the Waiting List of any school, you should receive a School preference form from your primary school on 24 Oct. During the Exercise School preference Stage from 24 to 28 Oct, you will be asked to select up to 3 schools in the order of your preference from among the schools listed on the preference form. You can do so online via the DSA-Sec Internet system or submit physically to your primary school.\"
They probably process the GAT results for both 9 July and 16 July together; and proceed selection for interview from there. Likely gotta wait long while before we hear from the school....is there a deadline for those who receive a co to reply if they accept?
So the deadline is 28 Oct. Long way to go. -

Oct 28 is when you have to select your preferred DSA school from those who've offered you a CO. The deadline for schools to give you CO is much earlier.

Hope RI and HCI can release DSA results earlier
... Positive one :xedfingers: -
Today is nus High camp day! Told ds to have fun. Only problem is that he has no time to do the piles of school homework and prepare for Chinese oral! Once again they are very organize. Kids have to register themselves, hand in the dsa documents and choose their camp size t- shirt all by themselves. Parents are barred from entering the school premise.

Time to post your giraffe photo again! -
Just sent DS to NUS high. Must say very well organised.
Registration opens at 7.30 but when we reached around 7.20 already got 3 long queue in order according to colour groupings. Teachers and student helpers already there to control the crowd.
Parents were allowed in the foyer but not beyond a certain line where the kids register and pick t shirts etc by their own.
Best thing for me is itβs so near to home. Think this should be my first choice for him but DS and DW may have other ideas.
Oh the back pack provided looks nice from far too. -

Yes, all of us in the family like nus high including ds p5 younger brother. I believe since the cohort is so small they really take care of all the kids welfare, groom them and mentor them. All whom I know there love the schools and have no regrets choosing it over ri. I have not heard negative comments about the school from any kids or parents there. For us, we live near Bishan area so tough decision. Anyway nothing to decide now because no co. But if ds can't get into ri, I am very happy to let him go to nus high.Just sent DS to NUS high.
