thanks 1amber, my nightmare is finally over. i should had taken a photo of my maid this morning. she took half an hour to do her make up, wear a red color dress with black stocking, and a new pair of sparkling shoes she bought yesterday. Big round earinings and necklace, carried a fashionable sling bag and her 15kg luggage with full bag of clothes she brought over from her home town last time. 2/3 of them i did not even see her wearing before. I bet no one can tell she is a maid. more kua chang than those filipino.

i roughly cleaned my house before sending my girl to her childcare. on the way to office, i told my hubby i felt so excited. he said with this experience next time must be careful. i told him no no, no next time, i will nvr ever want a maid no matter how. at least bermese is definitely a NO NO.

My relatives burmese is leaving tomorrow evening and shes 4 months pregnant, she just registered her marriage and held a ceremony last week and is off tomorow to see her family after 5 yrs. Well she spent some time training my relatives new maid. Alto the new maid has a wide experience behind her, my relative still trust her burmese , she has proven herself a trustworty person and alto she may not be the best in housework., shes the most trustworthy, she does not steal n is very straight. Sad loss but she really wants ahusband n a family all this while.

They can speak basic English but pronounciation is not very good, so sometimes may have some miscommunication. My current myanmese will spell for me, so I know what she is taking about. But after a few months, their English will improve.

It will be good to buy a English to Myanmese and a Myanmese to English dictionary. They are available at Pennisula Plaza. Each cost about $10. But this is needed for initial days only. After a while, you wont need it.

can check price frm mynmar airlines too. last yr I checked and it was at 245-260 dollars, no harm checking. See whether silkair still flies to mynmar.

                        hi mommies,

For those of you who have experience with Myanmar maids, can kindly help to share some pointers, e.g. market salary, are they sticky with off-day arrangement, which are some good agencies for Myanmar maids?

                        Many thanks.

                        Rgds,
                        Ming
I have the same questions as Ming. Can anyone please advise? Thanks!
