hi...anyone has any feedback on SLF Green Maid Agency.. I went and managed to speak with the boss and he sounds like his maid quality are not bad.


However, i check and found them with 3 demerit points from MOM..what are these demerit points stands for?

Are u refering to the slf green at Bkt Timah Shopping centre? I f so I was at one of the agencies nearby them and he commented that SLf green promised him a maid that never turned up and they dont honour their word. He actually gave up on them and switched agent. That was a a year ago

Oh... so maybe not a good choice then...but they promise no offday and no hp which other agencies didn't really commit. Empty promises??

[/quote]i guess with 3 demerit points and genuine comments frm an ex customer its better not to take the risk.... u may be successful with first maid but dont know what will happen whn u encounter problems later.
Well, MoM has mde it clear for us to check agent so think u shuld try else where.
I have never used them but which agent can really contol a maid frm using a hp and my guess is no off days only during the loan period, u probably got to compensate the maid later, sounds like the agent is not telling all.

Burmese maids also tend to have bigger ego (or is it pride?), cannot scold or correct them too much. Must talk nicely to them and have lots of patience and tolerance with them.

Very true! I notice that not only with mine but with 3 other relative with burmese maids. Im still in the midst of changing mine and will have to put up with another burmese.

I had empolyed so far 3 Burmese maid. My 2nd maid has very big ego, as she come from big city and rich family has maid at home. Present maid come from villages, but I face commuication problem with her, as she can't read or speak English (almost fail her entry test). She also can't read her own language, but so far she is my best maid out of 10+ I had. I will say everything is still luck. I had very experience with one of Indo maid, she is almost the misstres of my house and extra big ego. She will throw my food away, if I should said remark on her cooking. She decied whatever my family should eat, else we will have no food. She does not allow me to step into the kitchen. She will go for her own marketing without asking your permission. Thus Indo maid is out for my family.

I think I just had it with my maid… Not only she holds Hp daily, now she tells that her bones ache every morning that’s why she can’t get up at 6 or 6.30am to do work. She goes to bed by 9.30pm daily wo fail. She can’t clean well n needs to be told to do things in a nice way if not her fragile feelings are hurt… She s slow w work.

I told her that if she can’t handle the work then she better pack up n go home. I think I rather do the work myself than to rely on helper like her.
I sleep at midnight everyday except Fridays coz by then I ll be so shacked out by early mornings n late nights, I can barely keep my eyes open by 11pm. Plus I hv to wake at 4pm to give milk to my youngest who sleeps with us. And I am much older than her… Taking abt aching bones like 70 year old lady. These youngsters hv no idea what aching bones are like yet…

seem like burmese maids are generally not a good choice, compared to indonesian ones

Of all my maids, myan maid was my worst. When she was here, she can’t do anything. I train like crazy. Gave my child Panadol when child is not even sick, scald my girl’s hand with hot soup. When she left, she gave me another round of hell. So I swear I won’t look for myan maid anymore.


The best maid of all, is still my Indonesian maid. If I were to put attitude and everything else aside, based on solely the ability to work in a house Indonesian still top my list, follow by Philip maid. This is based on my past experience with my three maids nationality.

Burmese maids are not ready to come out to work as domestic helpers, that’s for sure. Indo r still the best. Filipino helpers are good except for their constant chattering habits n try-to-outsmart-us attitudes.


I won’t recommend anyone take Burmese maids. In fact when I visited an agent last week, she mentioned that there have been plenty of complaints about them from employers.

I told my helper that if she thinks she can get a job outside, pls go ahead. My last maid didn’t even last more than 8 months with her causacian employer after working for me. She wanted to work for a Causasian family after her contract ended coz she said they agreed to let hv $500 monthly n weekly off days. Can’t walk the talk I guess.

I had 3 Filipio maids, 2 Indonesian maids and 3 Myanmarese maids.


So far the wrost is my 1st Indo maid, Ex Malaysia. She is like a "mother-in-law" in my house, do thing her own way, always fall down and hurt herself. 2nd Indo maid, so simple minded, agent promise her to get her a double pay job, thus left after she completed her loan, and realise has no money to bring home and also lost her job. We have been keeping telling her that is not true, just couldn’t get believe us. Thus my husband and I say say "No more Indo maid".

Than we start to have Myanmarese maid, do agree they are not ready to be maid. As I think maybe maid is a very low class people in their country, thus they thought they could get other jobs after come here. Esp for my 2nd maid, she get very upset when people know that she is a maid. my 3rd maid was selected with a help of a Myanmares friend. Somehow from the look and the home address, she could tell which one is real one that come from the village and may be poor. Thus my 3rd maid has stay with me for 3.5 yrs. But she is leaving soon, after given her off-day in Jun, in Jul she told me that she is leaving by end of this year. At least she give me time because she know my kids are having Exam soon, so leave after their exam.

I thought of getting another Myanmarese maid, but after hearing all these report, I am very hold back now. I am very lost!
