      smurfy:
      hi,

just wondering anyone signed up for the bundled program for Nursery, K1 and K2 kids?

are cooking and music (keyboard) weekly affairs? or adhoc type?
Smurfy, if I remember correctly, your child is in the same branch as mine.... I signed up the bundled program for my DS in Nursery. It started in mid' Feb and was told that the max. intake about 18 children in nursery group for the add-on programs. I'm not sure if the intake no. has changed or not.

      These programs are conducted weekly.
      Tuesday – Harmony Road (Music)
Thurs (I think) - cooking and art & crafts are conducted alternately
      Fri - Swimming

You also need to pay a small sum for the materials (like music / activity booklets) used in Harmony.

Hi, I am considering sending my 3 years old girl to PlayGroup at PSH Raffles, which is a new branch opened this year around March. Principal Sally was previously principal from PSH Katong, and Vice Principal is Maureen from another PSH ( I forgot which).

Does any parent here send their child to PSH Raffles? Any feedback about the Principal/Vice Principal/teachers so far?

Also, is the curriculum at PSH Raffles identical to the rest of the PSH?

Ms Maureen taught my girl in K1 and for 3 months in K2 at Jubilee Park before she was promoted to be the vice principal of Raffles branch. She is a very good teacher. I believe the standards should be high at the new Pat’s branches too.

Last time when Jubilee park was new, I was also worry that my girl might only get new inexperienced teachers. However, this is not true. Being a premium presch, Pat’s needs to sustain consistenly high standards in all branches. Therefore, all branches (including new ones) should be fine. I selected the branch based on convenience in terms of fetching my girl.

Hi applemum, may I know which centers your kids attended and how old were they? My daughter is currently in a 3 hrs kindergarden. She has not attended full day childcare before. Any idea how does PSH deal with the adjustment period? How long can the parents stay around?

My girl is in Jubilee Park which was opened in end 2008 and I enrolled her in 2009. My girl used to attend 3h Nursery session before she joins Pat’s N2 class in 2009. She is now K2. I started her half day childcare in N2 and she only switched to full day in K1. I should have started full day immediately when she was in N2. Infact, I regretted not sending by girl to babyhaven right from the start. My girl had no adaptation issue at all. Infact when I switch her to fullday in K1, immediately on the first day, she came back and tell me full day is so much better. She even went to convince another classmate to switch to full day by telling her how much she have enjoyed the afternoon enrichment sessions. The kids there usually adapt quite fast. My girl is not a good guage as she did not have any separation anxiety even at 2 years old. My friend who just switched her kid to PSH (not same branch) told me that her kid adapted immediately. When her kid was in the previous childcare, he cried for 1 year and disliked sch. He is now a happy kid who loves sch. My friend also regretted not sending her kid to PSH earlier.

                      Hi there parents,

Im keen to enrol my daughter into Pat's schoolhouse Arena branch next year. Heard they are moving to a new premises. Any parents know where they are moving to?
They sent a letter saying earliest moving in Oct since the lease ends in Sept. But may extend till Dec, so latest moving by Dec.

They said until confirmation with new landlord they cannot release info yet. I thought maybe it is possible the teachers know so went to ask the teachers but the teachers say don't know. Not sure if it's really so. 🙂

We are all very curious too. Esp since they promised it'd be much better and having more to offer. My son's last year already, I hope they can move sooner so at least he can experience it for 2 mths!

Can share a little of your son’s experience at Arena? Thanks!
