Hi there, I’m a newbie Daddy in here. I’m at Serangoon North, with 2 lovely kids. Elder is a boy who is P1 in Rosyth, and a younger girl enrolling in the same school next year. Is this a predominantly female forum because I’ve seen too many mummy nicks. Any daddies out there?

If it's any consolation to you, I'm a daddy. There are actually quite a number of males in the forum - just that they prefer to keep that big, strong and silent image and letting the girls do most of the talking

Hi, what a rainy morning!
I’m a mom of two: a girl who turns 7 in October and a boy who turns 5 in December. We live in Serangoon (no north!). I freelance as a sub-editor and writer.
My daughter is in P1 at SMPS.
My son is in K1 at Foochow Methodist Church Kindergarten. He was born in December 2005 so should he be in 2012 P1 intake or 2013? Any advice from a parent of a year-end child? -

I am FTWM to 3 staying along upper serangoon. Kids are P3, P2 and K1.
Yes... it's storm alert now..... It's been raining and I need to fetch my girl from her kindy today. I usually work from home on friday and 80% of the time, it rains around 3.30pm.... the time when I need to bring them for enrichment lessons at serangoon garden :? It's not a concidence. :x
For year end kids, personally feel that there is not much difference when they are around K1 to K2. My kids are all Q4 babies. end Oct, Nov and Dec. My Dec baby is the eldest and so far I don't feel that she is disadvantaged being a year end baby.
Meanwhile for school, following is MOE guideline for 2010 P1 registration. This should apply to your child for 2011 registration as well.
\"Thus, a child born between 2 January 2004 and 1 January 2005 has to be registered at the 2010 Primary One Registration Exercise for admission to Primary One in January 2011.\"
