I live in choa chu kang, and my son wants to do law in future.
Does he want to consider SJI IB where he can do a mix of Higher Level (H2) and Standard Level (H1) subjects across Science/Maths/Humanities/Languageslesleer:
Hi all, my son just got his o lvl results, his net L1R5 is 7, and he wants to take the arts stream. Currently he is looking at either cjc or anderson jc, do u guys have any advice/suggestions? Also if he chooses arts stream over science stream, will it limit his choices in the future?
personally, i would choose the jc which is closer to home. choosing arts stream would probably make him unable to do most science related degrees in university, depending on which subjects he chooses. you should check NUS website for the subjects needed for the degree your son is aiming for. -
My DS is in JC this year, i’m just wandering how many scholarships in Singapore after A level exams?

The sch would organize scholarships talks by various organizations.
During a specific period each year (exactly when I could not recall), the Straits Times will hv extra section on scholarships. -

Two friends' kids went in and one qualified for Ivy League while the other got into Yale nus. -

ST will usually publish the extra section around the time when A level results are released. Also around that time, many organisations will have big ads in the ST announcing their different scholarships.JANE SG:

Oh thanks you are referring to your friend's kid reading science at Catholic right ... not truth about the culture so bad right ...
help please need someone been there or still at Catholic JC to share
Thanks a zillion :thankyou: -
for 9 points, try MJC. CJC is good in arts but not as strong in science. % alevel distinction for h2 math is below average and half the cohort failed the 2014 h2 math promo. about 100 people retained in year 1 out of population of 700.
MJC teachers are very hard working. Their H2 math notes are very good and they compiled lots of practice questions and sorted them into low, medium, high level.
