anyone here send your child to little bears club in ICR? my gal when for the trial and i find that all they do is to learn about colours and shapes, nothing really new since she goes to childcare. But she has been pastering me to go to the class. any parents here have any feedback?? is the program worth paying for?

Has anyone tried out the Branch at Novena Goldhill Square? Is it good? Any teacher who is good, or any teacher whom we should avoid like plague???? :rotflmao:

I need to know too but it's at CP Yishun branch. Those who are with them can pm me too. TIA.

        Hi ppnqq,
My 2 girls are in this branch.
Which level r u looking at? for Little bear class, i know that now have a new teacher. My #2 is with this teacher only since Jan 2012, so cant comment yet.
But so far both of my girls quite enjoy with their teachers there.

Hi everyone… have heard quite a lot about i can read and that it has a good programme. Not sure if it will help my daughters though… and thought I’d come to this forum to check it out. Need some honest opinions, please! which branch is good? and is there a particular teacher you can recommend? Have to admit… have been a bit of a lazy mummy… quite content to let daughters read at home and I just help them out with some writing and reading. But older daughter in P1 this year… younger daughter is 5. i better start looking out!

            TIA!

My 2 girls currently is at ICR at Chong Pang. So far so good and they love their teacher. My no.1 is with ICR for almost 2 yrs.
My No 1 even joined LC @Khatib for 2 terms, dont see any progress for her and she dont really like to join the class. Later on i found that the reason is because the teacher at LC is an ang moh and she cant understand his slang. My no 1 english is quite poor, so it very much depend on your kid. If your kid is english speaking kid, certain teacher with some slang will be ok for them.

                  Thanks Felicia09,

Which level are your child in ICR? Any idea which teacher is better?
Oh no wonder my ds did not like LC after the assessment, thinking back it could be the strong accent. Instead it’s me the mummy who’s impress with their materials.

I thot all ICR teachers are native speaking teachers, hence most will have a certain accent? That's why they chareg a higher fee.

                      HI heavenarc,

My eldest is at PRP and 2nd one is at TCS. This TCS teacher is just newly joined ICR, so i cant comment much. But previously, my no 1 when she’s in TCS, she was under Teacher Margaret. She’s a nice lady. She’s quite proactive feedback to me on my girl progress in class when she’s just newly join her class. And she managed to understand my girl’s problem (My girl was very poor in english and too shy to speak at that time) and help my girl to be more open up and speak in English. This is the part i likes about this teacher.

                        Hi Dino mum,

My girl previous level in ICR is a singaporean chinese teacher. But if you did not mentioned i din realised seems like this teacher is the only sporean at that centre.

But i heard from my collegue, her son teacher in ICR at another branch also a singaporean lady.
