Super Alice:
Must think carefully before joining any CCA. My DS currently in Sec 2. And he find that he does not like his CCA which is Uniform Group after joining for 1 yr and wanted to change. Not sure whether any way to change.
I have checked Chung Cheng Website regarding uniform group.
I believed only uniform group from scout and St john can be changed.
If you insist to change for NCC, NPCC and band. Your DS CCA points will be reset.
Quote from Chung Cheng Main Website
1.) Students may apply to change CCA only at the beginning of a new academic year. The marks awarded for the earlier CCA may be credited to the new CCA, but subject to good attendance in the previous CCA (except for students in mandatory CCAs).
2.) School Band,NCCand NPCC are mandatory CCAs for all secondary schools. Students in these CCAs are not permitted to change their CCA throughout the secondary school years except for medical reasons. Otherwise, all previous CCA points accrued for the mandatory CCA will be annulled. -
Yes. The web site claim that. My DS is in non mandatory uniform group. However, DS came back yesterday and claim that the HOD in charge of CCA say that Sec 2 cannot change CCA and only Sec 3 then can change. Not sure how true. I think at Sec 2 level still can change. Because, they are not sure what they need at beginning Sec 1. I would say that it is more of the trial and error stage. After 1 yr of Sec experience, it seem like they know what they need. if wait till Sec3 then change, it serve no purpose as they are suppose to prepare for āOā level.

If HOD mentioned cannot change, then you have to bring this up to the principal. Try to provide more info why your DS wanted to change CCA. -
Hi, how did CCHS do for Os? How many students with L1R5 6, how many with L1R5 7? Need to find out my chances for appealing. Thank you.

Hi Skyed,
since MOE does away with announcing results, why don't you start a thread \"2012 'O' Level L1R5\" or something like that. Then invite forumners to contribut.
This is the same as PSLE 2012 and that's how we know the top T-score for various schools. -

Depend on your child interest. I have learnt my mistake. Last year, my DS not sure what to join. So I and my hb suggest uniform groups as I find that it is a good training for him. At first, he was quite interested. But after a year, his interest died down. So he intend to change it this year. My DS seem to be more mature now and he know what he want after a year.
