Hi jedamum, he's already 6 and is a tall boy for his age. We removed the training wheels from his bike, and he's been asking for them to be installed back. He can't cycle on 2 wheels--too timid. He's always displayed this since young--a truly \"kiasi\" boy. I'm not too anxious though, cos I think/hope he'll slowly get it. It's really no fun cycling/scooting the way he does now, and he'll hopefully become more daring as he gets used to these toys.

hm...it was my FIL who taught ds1 cycling. ds1 was 'borned' timid, but once he gets over that hurdle, for some stuff, he'll become reckless. he will always ask for his gear when going scootering and with that, his need for speed comes in and even ds2 (the usual active ones) cannot match his recklessness

Csb, Have you heard of Uncle Edmund? He runs a bike shop at Farrer Road, at the HDB flats near Farrer Road Market. His shop is closer to Lakeview Eating House. For a fee, Uncle Edmund guarantees that your kid will ride a 2-wheeler in 3 or 4 days. We haven't gone cos my son is not interested (yet, hopefully. He's another scaredy cat), but a few of my friends are very happy with the outcome.

I keep aiming to do it during the hols but aiyah, this hols is very quickly drawing to a close. Maybe next hols, my son will be interested!!

hm..i personally feel that such stuff best is to get daddies or guy role models (FIL) to teach for sons, cos it is good for male-bonding too.

Hi Blobbi, I haven't heard of Uncle Edmund but my boss's friend does the same thing in fewer than 4 hours, also guaranteed πŸ˜‰ Plus he'll come to your place. I'm hoping that dh will be able to do the job πŸ™
Anyway, this is not urgent. Let nature take its course in the mean time

Yah, all too sudden, it's the end of the hols already!

Very true, Jedamum. Hubby is always either working or is thinking about his work. I already managed to make him carve out time over the weekend to bring our son out swimming :x , partly cos I dun want to get wet. Alright, one more thing to :nunchuk: about, grrr.

Hi all, we bought our boy a scooter for his last birthday. He has since outgrown his interest on it (yet again!) Anyone interested to get it for $15 bucks? We paid $65 for it...

Good condition. Pls email me [email protected] for details to view

Hehe, I bought a $60 one too, for DD3 who’s turning 4. Not sure if it’s expensive but at carrefour, the one that costs $45 (on offer) looks flimsy and too cutesy.

We originally wanted to buy the micro brand but that costs quite a bit!
