May I summarise the above info given so far with regard to JC entrance:

A) L1R5
L1 = English or HCL
R5 = Best related 5 subjects, including CL

B) Bonus points
2 points from LEAPS (prefect, CCA, CIP etc. must be 21 pts n above over 4 yrs)
2 points from obtaining C6-A1 in both HCL and English

I'm not sure. can someone comment? Mathsparks, CJS??[/quote]HCL is consider as L1, which means if you take higher chinese, and do better than english, yr HCL score is used for L1.

To summarise, if both Eng and HCL score between A1 and C6, you can minus 2 bonus points. But the lower of either Eng or HCL is used in the computation of the L1 part of the L1R5.

And HCL is not part of the R5 subjects at all.

You can use both. But if you do HCL, then either Eng or yr HCL score goes towards the L1 portion of the L1R5 score.

Yes, 2 chinese subjects and both can be used. But if your Eng score is better than HCL, of course Eng. score wld be used instead.
