Thanks! I’ll go & search for the AMK one cos it’s closer to my home. Hope it’s serves lard with it. No shiok without this sinful ingredient.

BTW, there’s one at Lor 1 Toa Payoh market on 2nd floor called Come daily. They used to use opeh leaves to wrap but don’t do it anymore due to costs. I still like to eat it to satisfy my craving for good hokkien mee. Recently, I went there in on Friday evenings abt 6 pm, the stall was closed. They used to open at nights.

Sadly, I find many places can’t cook up to standards anymore. It’s so difficult to get that old authentic kind of taste. The foodcourt ones are the worst even with those ‘branded’ ones. Also, I ever come across one stall in Serangoon using charcoal many yrs back. I think prob not around anymore liao.

Tried the Hokkien Mee at East Coast before but found it so-so. I think it's difficult to find parking lots because ppl are eating at the Beach Road Prawn Mee, which tastes so much better  (come to think of it, our Spore hae mee/prawn mee is also known as Hokkien Mee in Penang). haha

(some stalls' std could drop during peak hrs)
or have the overall standard drop ??
i haven’t been there for a long, long time......

i remembered, when sitting near the stall,
could already smell the aroma of the fried hokkien mee,
simply luv the crispy pork lard, ask them to add lots of……keke

oh yes, the beach road prawns noodles (soup ) is certainly great,
            no doubt abt it.......

how abt the kims’ fried hokkien mee ??
how many of u like this style??
wonder the branch at Eunos is still there, wanna to make a trip there …..

actually fried hokkien mee do have \"diff versions” ,
some are the drier type while some are the “wet” type with gravy.....

Always eat at B2 but the portion is getting smaller and smaller.

B4 - taste so so and always longggg queue.

                  Compare B2 and B4, i prefer B2.

I tried B8 at Sin Ming before. It’s actually quite good but dunno why not many people buy. No queue even on Sat night. Their orh-luak also not bad.

My other fave is the one at Chomp Chomp. Must wait more than an hour. So I only eat there like once a year.
