I think it depends on schools. Most schools would have a talk in the hall, followed by meeting the teacher in the classroom to fill up the necessary paperwork. Buying books and uniform is usually not part of the programme, optional I would say.

You have to report to the secondary school that you are posted to in your Primary School Uniform, together with your report book and PSLE result slip.

Hi, my girl is supposed to take charge of one of the new classes. She is supposed to report at seven and was told that it will end at twelve but as they need to help in unpacking , she can only go home at two-thirty.

So, I supposed for reporting students, they can finish everything by twelve.
