Any comments on the disneyland HK hotels?

Disneyland hotel or hollywood hotel better?

      thanks
My family stayed in both hotels. Kids like disneyland hotel more as they can take pictures with the character within the hotel. However, it is more expensive (I think HK500 per room per night) compared to hollywood. But it's worth a stay.

hi i stayed at hollywood but took a short walk to the disneyland hotel to visit the place. very nice deco! and during the few hours i was there, saw many disney characters walking around taking photos with the guests. so if u r going for the characters, can do the same. just drop by the lobby and wait for your turn 🙂

              hi tree nymph

sorry i wouldn't know cos i never stayed in disneyland hotel. but we were quite happy with the hollywood one. both have this beautiful and thoughtfully designed \"playroom\" where there are storybooks, kitchen set, toys and activities such as colouring and storytelling for kids and young children. but agree that there are more popular disney characters at disneyland hotel such as all the princesses and handsome prince while hollywood hotel only has the sidekicks such as goofy who will walk around at night. maybe they have a timing for walking around to take pics.

if u r booking a package with travel agency, should be able to check with them as to the size of room. but most impt is the no. of beds/ capacity should fit you and family. have a good trip! 🙂

Err... when I was in Disneyland Tokyo last year, I wasted the ticket. I spent half a day there and decided it was a waste of my time queuing in the maddening crowd. So I spent the rest of the day in the hotel room, and then went to watch Cirque de Soleil at night instead.

The last time I was in Disneyland HK, which was also last year, there were so few rides, and all of them I've tried before in another Disneyland. I got bored again. The layout of HK Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, LA Disneyland are almost the same. In HK, I was also fed-up with the Chinese who kept cutting my queue. However, I did not go home to sleep in HK, I did not waste my ticket. At least I am better with Pu Dong Hua than Nihon-go.

Will I go to either again? Hm, maybe the HK one. Because I found that the value for money factor is better lah. The rooms are better. I stayed in Okura in Japan, it's an old-time Japanese hotel and pretty high class. I had the room free, otherwise, it will be too expensive. 😉 .

Of all the Disney resorts I've been to, I like DisneyWorld in Florida the most, but the flight there is enough to put off the trip. But I will definitely go there again for the Animal Land and the science park like land (forgot the name).

LA Disneyland is so old, but the California park is worth visiting.

Having been to so many Disneylands, I'm actually quite tired of them all. The rides are repeated in one way or another in every country. And, I'd much prefer to sleep than to queue. I find it very tiring and waste of time. Having said all that, I'd still go. Simply because my kids are young only once. I've had my chance at childhood, they deserve theirs.

And, why not? My next destination? Sentosa Universal Studios 😉

2ppaamm, actually Disney does upgrade their rides and shows. I remember when I was in LA, no Buzz and \"Honey I shrunk my kids\" nor the \"Pooh bear\" ride yet. Then I found them in Tokyo.

Then when at HK, I found the Lilo and Stitch one very memorable and again not seen in my previous trips to the other Disneyland..

So for me, Disneyland does hold its magic for me, either that or I am just being Peter Pan la....

Some differential in every Disneyland when it comes to the ride. But, I found it such a waste of time and money to queue up for those, when majority of the park is just a repetition.

Honey I shrunk my kids were in LA and Florida, mah... Trying hard to remember Lilo and Stitch... was it the talking-show kind of thing? I attended the Pu Tong Hua one!

I told myself I'll not go Disneyland for another 3 years or so. In the last 2 years, I visited Disney resorts 7 times... I had too much of an overload. Time to unload... Queuing up is really something that I don't want to do anymore, especially the Tokyo one. Goodness, where did all the humans come from? I guess it tends to get more crowded in Asia because of the population.

Anyone heard of Shenzhen's Mi Qi Yu Peng You米奇与朋友? That one, I will be more interested in visiting, sans the copyright. Heh heh...

Have not heard, but be careful in Shenzhen, there are many pickpockets there.

I saw the Lilo and Stitch in Cantonese, it was hilarious.
7 times in 2 years...no wonder.... I also feel heavy..
I don't like queuing too, waste of time. Not true only of Asia, when I went LA I needed a 2-day pass because alot of waiting to do but that was eons ago. Never heard of Shenzhen's Mi Qi Yu Peng You米奇与朋友, only been to 世界之窗 so far and this one has no rides but all the famous places in mini size.
