O/T - Just wondering, why none talk about leaving cash with CPF which pays the highest interest. ie. After full-filling the minimun sum (bonus too). ? Can someone enlighten me?

I'm 35 this year. Hubby 38. We are super faraway from official retirement. Many other options available.

Does SA still exist after 55? Or 65? CPF allows only once a yr withdrawal or more?

        Thanks Starlight!

        * Hubby now says that i should pay for all bills from bank and he keeps his money in CPF. :yikes: :stompfeet:

I think at or after age 55, the OA and SA will merge to form RA.

Many years ago when the interest rates for FD were high, I did place some OA in FDs offered by the bank. Those were the days ...

Thanks! Sigh… still only 2%. And 0.10% better for second round of 3 years. LOL.
                    Singapore interest rates are horrible.

                        Bangkok Bank 50k 1 yr 1.5%, 18 mths 1.7%, 2 yrs 1.8%

I think there is only one branch in Singapore, at Cecil Street.

Deposit insurance of 50k applies, in case you are worried the bank is small.
