          Thanks Buds.

I was wondering whether cheaper to get from Amazon for new set.

Used books in good condition is fine for me.

          Buds,

When did your girls start reading this series?

I also do not mind purchasing used books in

good condition. And since my collection are
in pretty impressive pristine condition i am
hoping the resale value would also measure
up in order for me to replace the books they
have read with new ones. 😉

As for when i started my girls on the series,
hmm.. was around mid K2 and more so in P1.
At the time DD1 started, i was doing revision
on creative writing skills and adjectives and
what perfect way to reinforce the use of the
above than exposing them to Geronimo series.
Very apt timing for me then. But if children are
better readers by K1 also no problem getting them
to read this series as well. I highly recommend it. :celebrate:

Whether or not it is worth it depends on the interest

of your children. I don’t recall having bought an entire
series of anything honestly. I usually buy ala carte. 1stly
i won’t be sure how long the interest in a certain genre will
typically last. Should i have bought a huge pile and end up they’re
not read i would feel chest pain knowing how much i’ve not indulged
in retail therapy just to get it.There is also the issue of not all books
are equally interesting although within the same series. Beats me. I
just take note, observe and keep up with their current interests in
the different books and try not to stop cultivating the reading habit.
I still read to them books these days too. While they still enjoy it, i
don’t mind being the designated reader. They’re both currently in a
few minds… so i get Little Miss series, Geronimo Series, Young Scientist
magazines, Wimpy Kid, (etc) just to name a few. My P1 still likes Ladybird
books too. Another series they like is from the Usborne Reading Series…

We don’t get the whole set too, regardless of series, cos DD1 says that not all are interesting, from her POV. She does re-read those that we get for her so it’s worth buying for us. And yes, we also like the (little) Usborne books like Usborne books of Greek Myths.
