Students in IP schools take the O levels for HCL, that would be how this is being assessed.
1……As students do not take O level in IP track, may I know how is this being assessed?
The official requirement is min D7 in O levels HCL to be exempted from H1 CL in JC. But maybe some schools impose their own rules which you will need to check. -

Thanks for sharing, chenlaoshi! The qns seem quite expected, nothing too different from the sample paper?

Was there any feedback from your students on the new 词语替换 component? Eg any unexpected non-textbook words? Or lower sec words? -

Yeah, zac's mum. The principles/moral as well as the underlying meaning of tested sentences were not too difficult to comprehend too. The cloze passage was comparatively more challenging this time round.

Regarding the 词语替换 component, there were about 2 (out of 5) phrases that weren't \"officially\" in the syllabus list (i.e. those coloured words from syllabus passages) but there weren't \"difficult/challenging\" words - in the sense that at Sec 4, they should have those phrases in their vocab bank (although the challenge a few faced was knowing the answer but forgetting how to write the Chinese word
) .
