Anybody know if Swimfast has competitive swimming classes in the East?
My boy is in P1. He has been jumping into the pool whenever we brought him swimming, even before he learnt how to swim. He loves swimming and being in the pool. I started him on swimming classes (swim safer program) last year, he learnt freestyle, breaststroke, and perhaps also backstroke. However, the coach "sacked" him from the class as he got quite disruptive during the class (kept jumping into the pool when coach was guiding other students). I also heard that itโs only in competitive swimming that they are taught proper strokes.
Is P1 too early to start on competitive swimming? My boy is very active and has loads of energy, he is also very mischievous, so I am considering starting him on some activity where he will learn to be disciplined. -

One of my student bog a pair at Mustaffa today..light blue and gray for $29+
Hi Wolfgirl and Swimironkids,dolphin:
[quote=\"Wolfgirl\"]My girl just uses the fins sold at her club. Cheap. About $15 a pair. Or less.
My girl can do 400IMs nowadays. And her strokes have improved significantly.
She smiles when she is in the pool, which is very important. It shows that she enjoys it and not hates it.
Tks for info. Is there any specific brand/model? Will checkout from mustafa too!
Adding to this thread. What the advices for newbie parent whose kids are going into competitive swimming?
How to help them overcome the laps swimming, at the same time the tough training wouldn't kill the swimming interest.

I can assure you that P1 is not too early to start competitive swimming. Most kids that are serious starts training from 3-4 years old, and by 5, they would be able to swim 30 lengths of the pool easily within an hour using any stroke. I know that as a fact
