25th may to 3rd june - book fair

Can someone advise what spread available for the abovementioned fair?
Someone told me that she bought teaching/learning resources last year..

Hi,

I went this morning. I think it's the usual spread but less than Dec one it seems. I did see teaching and learning resources by Scholastics, don't remember what discounts though. Most of the kids books are buy 2 get one free as mentioned above by another forummer. Today you get a $10 voucher if you buy more than $100 and is POP member.

        My update.

Not too big a fair. Things are better organized in an orderly way. Staff are cheerful, helpful. (Kekekeke, maybe it was still very early and not many people).

I bought just a few assessment books but many copies of the comic book 'the survival ' science series .

Now on the comic books (many copies) has a price tag @$7.50, but at cashier it was $7.60. Pointed to staff that many copies on the shelves have a $7.50 price tag, they checked and seems like they forgot to remove the $7.50 price tag and sp is actually $7.60. Anyway, I got mine at $7.50 and please don't be mistaken hor, I didn't kick up a fuss or insist that the price is $7.50.

I just pointed out very nicely to them about the many copies on shelves with the wrong price tag and left them to sort it out themselves. Me a good girl today. :please:

Anyway, it has been a good trip there but wish I have more time to look at the books........

agree about the size, it’s only half a hall.

I bought some assessment books - was targetting the english assess books by Teachers@work (conquer grammar, conquer cloze). price range from $3.90 to 5.50 - good price.

Also got one of the survival series at 7.60 (didn’t quibble becos I thought I saw 7.60). FYI, you can buy this series in JB at about RM10.50 (normal price, sometimes got discount) - this one book I bought here I didn’t see in JB.

I was targeting at chinese parenting books - last popular sale had some going at 90% off. this time they smarter (or maybe my trumpet too loud). Minimum is about $5 per book. sianz.

Overall, as long as the price tag dun say nett, or have big sticker proclaiming 40% off that type, it’ll be buy 2 get 1 free; or 20% off.

I’ll be back on monday to use the $5 coupon (you get this if you buy over $30) - this is on top of the $10 voucher for $100 min spent.

I find popular fairs at Suntec december has more variety but the May one that is held now has better discounts. Just went and came back with a lot of discounted (more than december one) assessment books.

Hi anyone knows if the new POP magazine at Popular is out?

Expo sale is too far for me, just thinking of using the 20% voucher in the magazine in the usual Popular bookstores…
                      Tks.
