Hi Toddles
u are most welcome. Best to see & hear for yourself & judge if meet your requirements.
Hi wyou & rainbows
Had sent u a PM. Hope it helps a little in your decision making.
I respected the sch for not going into publicity, hence no official website.
It is listed in the MOE website. Only 6 private MOE registered kindergartens in Punggol.
As i had mentioned, its location is its plus & minus point for me.
Hi buds
Thank you so much for your time & effort to read & reply my PM.
It is indeed quite a painful process to shop for a preschool.
The long waiting list, school visits, shortlisting, evaluation etc....
 Thanks for your kind words too. Hope my sharing of experiences would help many other lost parents just like when
i 1st started in preschool hunting.
Now that i had settled my 1st kid well, can really rest well to wait for the arrival of my #2.
In a way, hope my effort pays off with a good foundation for my girl.
Would not be bother with Parent Volunteer PV & alike bias system,
really wish such things would be eliminated by the time she is entering Pri Sch.
40 hours! i would have taught her many things at home & spend so much quality time together!
Why just prep for Pri Sch, but ready for life ahead! Just my tots! -
thanks rachelmum

RAchelmum:
You are welcome sweetie..
Hi buds
Thank you so much for your time & effort to read & reply my PM.
Your passion reminds me of myself when i first started.
I was from mainstream so naturally i was pro-mainstream.
I went like, :whut:? Follow children's individual pace? Yah,
right? Like we can actually do that for all 37 children.
Yes, i had that many children in one class. Can you imagine?
But as i learnt deeper into Maria Montessori's passion for
teaching children, her objectives and her results... i realise
hey, it could be achievable but may not be so if in a large grp
at a time as attention can't easily be spread across that many
at one time.
With new things, there is always sceptism. With sceptism comes
curiosity. With curiosity comes questions. With questions come
the desire to find the answers... answers to how it worked and
how we could make it work.
As i had the opportunity to work with some of the most inspirational
people in the industry, i began to see the method.... the technique
with conviction and the process and the journey i took made me a
believer. With any methodology it took time to see it bear results &
i for one saw how i succeeded with knowledge of both mainstream
and Montessori. There are merits in both styles and all it took for
me was time. Time to adapt.. time to believe and time to fine tune.
There's no one way that fixes all.. so we can use the best of every
thing good to the best of our advantage.RAchelmum:

passion and your patience paid off in the end, didn't it? There is no easy way
out... hence all that homework and recce did you good. You knew WHAT you
were looking for and WHAT you wanted for your girl. Cheers to that! :celebrate:RAchelmum:
With a good teacher and a good learning environment it will pay off. :hugs:In a way, hope my effort pays off with a good foundation for my girl. Would not be bother with Parent Volunteer PV & alike bias system,

Dun think that far ahead yet.. take care of yourself and enjoy your pregnancy.
With your girl in school, take this time to do some stuff for yourself as this is
the best breather till you pop.
Keep in touch, ya! Will try to reply your recent
PM soon. Take care..

Anyone with feedback for Montessori for Children at Newton? Their teachers are AMI trained, but the ratio is really big, like 1 teacher to about 20 kids (as found on their website)!

Hi there, anyone know if the MMI at Bukit Merah is good? Looking for good places at Tiong Bahru to send my son for playgroup when he is 18 months old. I searched old posts here and saw a few parents asking about MMI at Bukit Merah too but not really see a comment yet. Appreciate anyone can share some experiences there. Thanks!!
