they should keep the original, but cannot photocopy? :?

did you ask for another empty form?
Haha, you may be expecting this, but blank forms also cannot release.
      Heehee.

Calling the HQ/main office to clarify. HQ/main office indicated that although there is no black/white on releasing of application forms, it should not be a problem in releasing this.

Maybe the centre is new and is still learning.

I am looking forward to 'engaging' the centre's principal and evaluate the centre's attitude in accepting parent's feedback.

      Will update soon.

I wonder if there are other centres that refuse parents of the copy of the application form, or there are parents here whom have gotten a copy of the form.

      Cheers

to my, a childcare's flexibility in accomodating a parent's request is most valued.

What we loved about our DS's former childcare is that they would try tried their best to accomodate our request, and they would act on our feedbacks.

          good luck !

sometimes the best systems downfall caused by 1 or 2 rigid staff who have some strange ideas. anyone with half a sense should know that is ok to give the parent a copy what.... :?

              update:

called the principal and my impression is that she does not accept parent’s feedback with open mind.
I was misunderstood several times and I am now painted as ‘bad guy’, unfortunately.

With an open heart and mind, I am trying again. Will be speaking with the principal in person during lunch today. Hopefully from body language and facial expressions, we could communicate better.

              fingers crossed

don’t know if it will help your case but, i was able to get a copy of this form from the clementi community centre for the talentplus playgroup. it (the blank form) was free for anyone to take.

merlion, can share which centre this is? i’m also looking for a place in clementi for my toddler.

                        Update :

went down to the centre during lunch and spoke to the principal and clerical office in person.

                        Overall impression :
Young principal and I think I may have more experience in dealing with kids than her.
                        New centre with inexperienced teachers.

The plus point is the proximity of the centre from my home & office.
New teachers may also be a plus point as the enthuthiasm level will be high.

Spouse and myself discussed and decided to go for it.

Whether it is going to be a fairy tale or a nightmare, stay tune as more updates in 6 months time.

                        cheers.
