There are some other upcoming events (like the one organised by NIE - and you have to respond by this Sunday !) that maybe useful to you too:

Hi trijoy,Hi Parents,
I need to know if there's reasonable priced kindy in Tampines/ Pasir Ris/ Simei that will take in my son ? as I wanted him to attend mainstream kindy with teachers who are happened to be SN trained. Those special schools r too expensive for us. Thanks
There is an Intergrated Childcare Program (ICCP) run by the Presbyterian Community Services at various childcare centres. They have a centre in Tampines.
Some of the teachers are SN trained and the SN child can learn alongside his/her peers in a mainstream classroom setting. See http://www.pcs.org.sg/iccp.html
Call the centres to check which class teachers are SN trained so that the SN child goes into a class run by SN trained teachers are in and not into a class with non SN trained teachers.
Before the SN child actually joins his peers in the mainstream classroom, there is an initial 1-1 training program which lasts 20 sessions. Once he is assessed as ready for mainstream classes by the trainer, he'll join the regular childcare classes and pays the same rates. -
Does anyone know of primary schools with good AED support for ASD kids, in particular in the Serangoon/Hougang area?
This question was raised before in this thread but I can't find the answer
The MOE website lists the SECONDARY schools with AED support for ASD. Can't find the PRIMARY school list

Hi,
Any parent here has gone through the Pathlight School selection process for its preparatory track - what happens during the selection process eg interviews ? Is it a tough selection process??
As for the preparatory track program, what is it like? More academic based or more social skills based? Did it prepare your child sufficiently to handle a primary one class environment in a mainstream school? -
Hi,
Has anyone engaged a shadow teacher for his/her child in a mainstream primary one class? How long did the shadow teacher shadow the child and was it of any help?
I understand not all schools welcome shadow teachers. Anyone knows of any primary school which is supportive of allowing shadow teachers?
Any good shadow teachers contact to share? Thanks in advance
