When you try to instil discipline, you are being thought as overly strict …
When you try to dispel rigidity, you are being thought as inflexible …
When you try to discourage socially-unacceptable traits, you are being thought as not giving chance …
When you try to encourage things that are contrary to the child’s instincts, you are being thought as not listening …
When it comes to teaching a child, a mother has very different perspectives as compared to the other care givers around her, as she holds the additional responsibility of ensuring that her child turns out well. It becomes more difficult for a mother of a special needs child, as she becomes laden with barriers of communication, processing and understanding in addition to the child’s perculiarities.
Finding the right balance is really a big challenge. -
I have exempted my son from Mother Tongue…can i know, if i see improovements in his MT…can i opt for inclusion…

Hello mummies,
Anybody use magnesium sulfate cream (epsom salt cream) on your kids?
I have been using kirkman’s cream (ordered from iherb) but realise it contains propyl paraben.
Anybody know where can i find alternative that is propyl paraben free? Is it available in Singapore?
I have been trying to search for such products, so far I can only find epsom bath salt in the shops, which to me is not practical -
Specialboymum,
New beginnings Epsom salts cream. It is paraben free -
Hi mummies,
I’m very confuse . Y rainbow say my son for now dun require speech therapy !?
-
Because he is meeting his speech milestones?
-
Mashy,
They son my son currently need initiation n communication . Aren’t these related to speech therapy ? -
Then did u ask them why? Perhaps you should be more direct with them and ask them. If they say he needs help in communication and yet don’t need SLT, then ask them why. Frankly you ask us, we also don’t know why, you gotta ask THEM why. Usually when I meet up with these people for help, I write down a list of questions and prepare myself before I go.

im not sure how to ask.
