I will withdraw my son from rainbow n transfer to other eipic ..

There you go again. I foresee that u won't last long at the other Eipic and then conclude that all are lousy?

Please, give your son a chance. He also needs time to adjust and learn skills.

        Hi mummies,

My son’s assessment is done n he is confirmed to be in the spectrum. He is ASD, not PDD-nos or aspergers. Apparently, Kkh’s report will not indicate if is mild, moderate, low or high functioning. Just "ASD". But I pressed the psychologist to me her review on his functioning level and she said he is high functioning. I also do not need to do anything new but just continue his therapies.

I am a bit relieved now as I feel that I finally hv a closure. No more "what if" or "maybe". And my son’s life goes on. Next will be his IQ n sch readiness assessment when he turns 5.

Helplessmum, what made you come to this decision in such a short span of time?

Don't worry about that. Nothing u can do and prepping will make it inaccurate. What u need to do now is to note down all his milestones like when he first sat up, crawled, whether he can button his shirt by himself, self feed, tie shoe lace etc. this will be brought up at the general ability test so can be tough trying to recall a lot of things.

This is standard for any self feeding clinic. U gotta prepare the food. If u can't make it, just buy. Even if u go to another Eipic, when it comes to feeding, they will still ask u for the same thing. When my boy attended feeding clinic, I gotta prepare according to their list, like green food, yellow food, long food, round food and different textures. I make my boy carry a water bottle everywhere he goes. I don't take it for granted that the school should provide water for him.

So what if you are a working mother? I've known working mums waking up at 5am to prepare bentos for their children. Not just fried noodles but bentos with lots of dishes and nicely decorated. I'm very impressed by them because I know that they really put in effort. They also attend classes at night, take buses. But yet they don't complain and have so much self pity.

Aspergers is when there is no speech delay.

                        Imeemee ,

Rainbow school bus schedule is not suitable. So I hav to take time off to send n fetch my son from rainbow on mon to wed.

Very tiring so I’m thinking to change to another eipic centre that near to my son childcare centre.

I feel that rainbow did not have thier considerate for caregiver …

                        I join class 3 days I not really confortable … I duno …
