Andrew Er writes many assessment books, he is a very good tutor, my sister’s kid used to be under him. She said he was very clear and the questions given were good.

is Andrew Er really good?coz their classes are full for 2012 P1 and I cannot even get a slot for my dd… can anyone share what kinda worksheets they are given for P1? how is it compared to the books that he wrote? coz i bought them and wana see if the kids are doing the same type of work there…

My DD had joined Andrew Er (highly recommended by DH's frenz) for around 6 months (on waitlist for 6 mths) and can see there's improvement in her analytical skills. She got a band 1 in SA2 compared to her earlier results of a band 2 prior to joing.

As we did not get all of Andrew Er's assessment books, it may not b fair to comment. However for those which I bought, I find there are some differences. His class worksheet seems to phrase questions in quite a number of ways.
As we did not prepare DD well for P1 :oops: , we did not dare let her attempt too much IQ questions for fear of demoralising her. She was not able to do any of it without our guidance. Towards her 2nd term in Andrew Er, we realise that she's able to handle some of those questions (it's in eir class worksheets).
We are still monitoring her progress (not sure if it's juz a coincidence or mayb her sch had set an easier paper during SA2 :skeptical: )and will update in this thread if parents are interested in Andrew Er. Honestly I tink only time will tell if Andrew Er is as gd as wat pple told me. So far, her grades had improved, she's enjoying her class, we will juz let it be.

There is some kind of assessment but IM not so sure of e entry requirement. I dun tink it is as tough as TLL kind. My DD was pretty weak prior to joining. If she is accepted, I dun tink it will b v stringent.
