:xedfingers: hi fellow parents!
I just went for assessment and they placed my kid in Launchpad Book 2. He is 3.5 years old.
But I didn’t sign up on the spot though I get a good vibe off the teacher. A couple of questions seeking advice..
(1) teacher mentions that all 3 “levels” of Launchpad will be in the same class though differing levels. Is this way of conducting class effective? Cuz the price of each class to me is expensive so I don’t wanna waste time and money..heh!
Also we don’t have time to coach him or do homework after work (hence sending him to enrichment) - she mentioned there are worksheets - is it necessary to do them in order for him to progress?
(2) any reviews of Teacher Michelle at Bedok Branch?
(3) referral code is appreciated!!
Thanks y’all! -

My no 1 started with Lcentral since 4 years old and he is now going 11 years old. He was with AMK ave 4 branch which closed down and transferred to Thomson and now is with AMK central. Teacher Adrian was his teacher at Thomson but now not with Lcentral.
My no 2 started Lcentral since 5 years old and is now going 8 years old.
From experience, even though their materials do not look impressive and maybe not much marketing, Lcentral is very good in laying the foundation such as Blending and reading skills, phonics. After attending 1 year, my kids can read books and words that they have not learn before. Reading skills are very important in language foundation. They are able to read 1 to 2 levels beyond their level at Primary school. All their teachers are native teachers, from UK/Australia. They also have 1-1 coaching sessions helpful to individual students ability. Feedback sessions from teacher.
Homework are very little as compared to other centers. Its is actually not stressful and my kids enjoyed going to Lcentral.
The differentiation in classes / programs based on ability is actually quite good. At one point, my kids are able to advance to higher class beyond their age. When they reach Primary school, this do not applies as much as they tend to be placed in same class as same age students. -
Does your child always asks \"why?\" and you don't know how to explain something?
Does your child have a short attention span and dislikes reading long books?
Do you feel that news are not meant for children, yet your child is not learning enough about the world around them?
No fret, here is a solution!

Their liftoff program, a 1 year course is very good to prepare children for primary school. -
For Lcentral Jurong east branch, u may code Gernice from liftoff program… U may call in to JE branch to ask for an assessment n can even go for a trial lesson before committed to sign up. The class is small ard 6/8 each class.
LCentral JE branch will be having open house on 25May. u can get 10% off first semester if u sign up on their open house.
My #1 attended the foundation, launchpad & lift off program before entering P1. The first 2 programs are based on each individual progress. So if you are fast, you can progress to the next level faster. Their liftoff program, a 1 year course is very good to prepare children for primary school… They teach the kids how to decode a word which aid them to be an independent reader. Reading aloud is practise in class and is essential for show & tell. The class also go through many comprehension worksheet. There are a total of 6 workbooks to complete. Homework is only a page so it’s not draining on the student & parents. -
