For math, if a kid can manage himself i.e. do the sums, check his work, figure out why he is wrong etc, it is more effective than having a tutor. The learning process may take longer but once he figure out, the concepts is retained for a long time and he will be able to apply concepts in other sums.

I’ve read through the entire conversation on Kumon and is very eager to start my children out (esp my first child) at Kumon Math.

I stay at Sengkang area but is okay to travel a wee bit to a good centre (cuz it seems like the CI at each centre matters?).

Is there any good recommendations for centres around this area??

can Kumon parents share … how to motivate a kid who doesn’t like to do worksheets at home ? when he comes to the study table, he is not serious, din want to adopt a positive spirit / attitude of learning ? He is 4 years old.
